William’s hand remained on her mouth even though she tried to push it away; his other one wrapped around her upper arm, holding her still. He leaned over to press his ear to the door so all she could do was wait for him to let go. “Damn it!” he mumbled, turning toward her. “Don’t fight me and don’t say a word,” he whispered, pulling her toward the other side of the room. She barely had the time to frown before he picked her up by the waist and sat her on the massive desk opposite the door. It seemed the room she had picked was some kind of office, with paintings and extravagant objects lining the walls. “What the fu—” she muttered as his hand reached over her shoulder, unzipping her dress to the middle of her back. Her eyes widened, but he was too focused on what he was doing to notice.
