“Please, take a seat,” Damien said, gesturing toward the chair in front of the square table. The room he had led her to was oval-shaped, with no furniture or decorations except for the table with two chairs and a three-seater sofa in one of the dark corners. The only window in the room hung open, letting in the strong moonlight, but even that wasn’t enough to properly light up the space.
