Chapter Thirty Eight

2096 Words

Diane and Anna had walked to the farm in complete silence. Anna had occasionally stole glances at the woman who had on a gloomy expression as they walked, her arms crossed over her chest occasionally and she seemed to be finding it hard to return the greetings the pack members sent her way. Surprisingly, some were directed at Anna as well contrary to what she had expected. Some of them called her name, she knew all of them by their faces but just not their names. As much as she wanted to revel in the shock, Diane was still not speaking to her. When they’d finally reached the glass farmhouse Diane walked in before Anna and Anna stared down at her feet not understanding why the ache in her chest kept growing. Had she succeeded in pissing away the one person that claimed to be her friend?
