When Evan tucked Kasey into her bed, she hugged him tight and asked, “Is Charlie staying over, too?” Evan shook his head. “No honey, he’s just here to visit.” He wasn’t sure how much of a visit it would be now that she wouldn’t be with them, keeping the talk light and easy. He didn’t really want to go back downstairs. He wondered how rude it would seem if he just crawled into the bed beside his daughter and held her until they both fell asleep.
