While they kissed again, Addison shut her eyes and imagined confessing her feelings to Mister Silas. She wanted to presume that he will accept her and give her what she'd been taking from others, love.
Although imagining Mister Silas as Zack worked while making out, it didn't seem to be the case with Everlyn. She was a girl. Her kisses were sweet. Much sweeter to be imagined of a man.
Finally, Addison opened her eyes. Flustered as she was lying naked beneath her friend, she closed her eyes and spoke, "Everlyn."
Everlyn placed her hand upon her cheek as she asked affectionately, "Tell me what you want me to do? I want to hear you say it."
"No," responded Addison while trying to maintain keeping her eyes shut.
While touching her at her most sensitive places, Everlyn asked, "Do you like this?"
Instead of giving an appropriate response, Addison let out a faint moan. It brought out the mischief in Everrlyn, who wanted to tease her more.
So, she asked, "Or else, you want me to stop?"
Looking at her trembling at the touch of her mere fingers, she got more excited and asked, "Do you want me to continue, Addi?"
Addison writhed in joy and managed to only moan harder in response. She, however, didn't want her to stop. Enjoying every bit of the torment, Everlyn stated, "You're weak to things taht feel good, huh?"
Addison couldn't help but quiver like a lamb as she confessed, "No, it's because when you touch me, it just feels so good. That's why--"
She stopped midways as she hesitated in talking about it further.
Everlyn then dragged Addison's head to rest it on her chest as she spoke, "You feel this way because I love you so much."
There were no emotions but tears in Addison's eyes. Everlyn further spoke, "Moreover, you can sense that I'm touching someone I care deeply about. That's why you feel this good. That's the power our feelings hold. With my touch, I can make you feel everything that is happening in my heart for you."
"I want you to fill with all of me. It's not that I didn't know that there's a limit to the passion someone gives you. Further, there's nothing wrong with wanting you only for me," spoke Everlyn while providing Addison with everything she had.
Though Addison didn't respond, the thoughts prevalent in her head pointed out her feeling of remorse, ‘She did succeed in filling the void inside my heart, but this isn't okay. I still feel I crossed the line. I am at a colder and deserted place now. All alone.'
"Good morning, Everlyn," greeted Addison in the morning. She couldn’t respond instantly as she was fast asleep.
“Everlyn's hairs always appear so beautiful. It even looks good when parted to the side,” noticed Addison.
Soon Everlyn turned towards her and looked at a puzzled Addison while greeting her back, "Good morning."
Addison was baffled as she deluded herself with her thoughts and ended up thinking of lying on the bed with a smirking Natalie. The teacher was getting into her bed, but she didn’t want to talk about it to anyone.
"What happened?" asked Everlyn affectionately, observing Addison being lost.
Addison regained her focus and smiled as she responded, "Nothing."
As Everlyn got dressed to leave, a voice in Addison's head told her, "You wouldn't be able to be friends with her. It's all your fault. You understand that, right? Today is the first day you took advantage of someone else's feelings."
It was her conscience criticizing her for making a selfish choice.
As she recollected the progressing events of her day since the morning, that same inherent voice told her, "Taking advantage to build yourself up and satisfy your ego, right? You're no different than that woman who stole Mister Silas from you. You're both scums!"
Addison did comprehend that. However, she still felt that she was no match for Miss Natalie, "She has stopped to a level at which I can't even imagine myself. She already knew about my feeling for Mister Silas, and she's purposefully trying to hurt me. I can feel it. It's painfully clear. Her smugness reveals her belief in superiority over me as a woman. If I'm no match for her now, then I'll change."
Addison then put herself to sleep and thought of confronting the woman.
The next day, Addison woke up, got ready for school. Just when she came downstairs to have breakfast, her mother asked the little girl, "I prepared your favourite noodles."
Trapped in her own personal hell, she lashed out, "Don't you think it's unnecessary to cook if you're going to feed me just noodles in the morning."
"What happened to you? Why are you so mad at me?" asked her mother affectionately.
After taking her backpack away, Addison responded to her mother, "Forgive me, mother. I'm not feeling good at the moment."
She then rushed to get to the class. Just after reaching her classroom, she left her bag at her desk and went out to look for the wretched woman.
Miss Natalie had a reputation for arriving earlier at the school. Thus, Addison knew she'd be there. As she stepped towards the staff room, she saw Natalie peeping outside the window.
That only meant that Natalie had already seen Addison entering the school and had anticipated her arrival. While struggling to break the ice, Addison kept staring at her.
"What? Which one are you mad about?" asked Natalie in her superfluous feminine voice. "Henley? Mister Silas? Who is it?"
Natalie finally turned around to look at Addison, who seemed to be glaring right at her when she stated, "So, you knew about how Mugi felt too?"
While twirling her long hairs around her index finger, the lady responded, "I'm not really sure, but my guess is that since he has no chance with the person he pines for, he's just filling the void with some accessible classmate."
Addison couldn't help but cuss at the overbearing woman, who seemed to be too proud to look beyond her own beliefs.
The self-conceited woman went on to claim, "Although I'm the one they're both in love with, I don't feel that way."
While almost tearing up from the inside, Addison was quick to ask, "Is it that fun to be loved by people you don't even like?"
"What? Why not? There's no better feeling than being desired by people."
Addison realised there was no reasoning with the woman, and went away. As she walked away, she couldn’t help but wonder about the day when her father had left her and she ran away from the home. When Mister Silas came looking for her and gave her what she desire most of all- protection.
(ADDISON’S P.O.V.)
The sky was grey, dusky and dull. It made it appear like a new city. I was so lost. As a child, I never once cried in front of my mother. I promised myself that I would not do that since I didn't wish to hurt her.
After my father disappeared from our lives, my mother cried the tears that should have been mine as well. When she robbed me of my sadness, I felt something for the first time, something I couldn't name. It was the lack of love. I don't know what love is.
At that young age, how could I know about the thing that I never received? How could I define it? I admired this comfortable world of loneliness. It was all mine.
But then, you came and gave my world a sense of stability. I still remember the day when I swang on the swings behind my middle school, you came to me.
You told me that you had been looking for me and you were scared after getting a call from my mother who informed you that I disappeared. With my head hanging down in anguish, I didn't speak. You, however, stretched your helping hand in my direction as you instructed, "Come on! Let's go home."
Finally losing the tough exterior, I succumbed and fell into your embrace. While you wrapped your arms around me to comfort me, I cried my heart out. You once offered me a safe space, remember? Why are you abandoning me now, Mister Silas?"
