7 HENG EXPANDS HIS DIET
After a few weeks of drinking only goat’s blood milkshake, Heng was starting to tire of it. He had tried chicken flavour, but did not really like it, although he did drink it when they slaughtered a chicken so that it didn’t go to waste. He ate it with the same relish that most children eat broccoli or cabbage. He had thought of tapping his dogs, but didn’t really like the idea much.
Before he had become ‘il ’ he had regularly eaten snakes, rats and frogs, but he thought that they would not contain enough blood for a decent meal.
