I propped my head up to look at her from where am hiding on the other side of their bed, lying flat on my stomach on the floor. "Shut up, just pretend you didn't see me." I shushed her and lay down my head again and clenched my eyes. I could hear heavy footsteps gliding at the hallway into Kang's room and my heart starts slamming against my ribcage in fear. Gosh! I'm stronger than her but she can still make my body to shudder in fear. "You're still stupid, Jennie can smell your scent wherever you try to hide." She said chuckling while shaking her head and continue changing her clothes. "I know but I can hide my scent remember? And I have no choice but to at least try hiding myself!" I hissed at her lowly, preventing to make my voice too loud so Jennie won't hear me. "What did you do this time?" "I forgot to pick up Nabi in school." I deadpanned. Seige gasped exaggeratedly and snapped her head to look at me over her shoulder. "You've got to be f*****g kidding me, Lisa! That's your daughter!" "I know! I never forget that, it's just that, I overslept!" "You f*****g overslept?! How many times you forgot picking up your daughter?! I grumbled and with my arms that's covering my head, I jumped onto the window to escape from my wife's wrath. I landed on the ground along with the shattered glass, shrugging off some of the shattered pieces of glass on my shoulder and didn't notice the woman in front of me. "Nerd." "Damn." I whispered under my breath and clenched my eyes before looking up to meet Jennie's dark red eyes. "Hey bab– whoa whoa wait! I'm sorry ok?!" I quickly retreated back when Jennie tried to grab my head, spreading my arms in front of me to block her for coming near. "Sorry?! Don't you have something else to say than sorry?! That's your daughter! You forgot to pick up your daughter! You shouldn't have volunteered for that job if you know that you can't do it!" She scolds and tried to take another step but I stepped back again. "If we didn't had s*x, I wouldn't have overslept." I murmured softly. "What did you just f*****g say?!" "Nothing!" She growled and sighed exasperatedly before she turned around and here I thought that she's going away and I released a sigh of relief, putting down my arms on my sides but she takes a 360 ass turned and jumped onto me and kicked me. I scowled at her while wincing in too much pain between my legs. "Damn it! Seigeeee!" I yelled and my traitor best friend jumped off and landed in front of me. "Seige, help." I said teary eyed while still holding my crotch. "Jen, you f*****g kicked her balls?" Seige asked in disbelief. "She f*****g forgot her own daughter!" "That's reasonable." Seige shrugs. "Yah! Are you really taking her side? I'm your best friend!" I sneered at Seige but she just chuckled and helped me to stand on my feet. "Carry me please? I think my balls cracked." "Shut up! I said as I pulled Seige's shirt to cover me because Jennie was about to hit me again. "If you break my balls, I won't be able to give you another kid, Jen." "I don't need another demon to add in this family, Ella was enough." "What if it's a boy? You said you want a boy." I said as if I was trying to bargain for my life and Jennie's mad face lit up and she looked back at me, nipping her lower lip to suppress her smile to break out. How can she change her face from angry to cute? "A boy?" Seige asked and we both nodded. "Then that'll be your opponent, buddy. You really want a son?" "What do you mean?" I asked confusedly as I stepped out behind her. "Come to think of it, Lisa. Ella is so possessive on you that even Jennie had a difficulty to get near you, then here comes the problem, what if your son do the same thing, but this time, you're in Jennie's shoes?" "That's not gonna—." "Forget about having another kid, Ella was enough." I said to interrupt Jennie. "No! What?! We already planned this!" Jennie whines, stomping her feet on the ground. "Whoa Seige, you really gave them reason to fight." Jilian chimes in which caused us to stop our argument and they were all watching us having arguments about having another little demon and the kids that she picked up from mortal's school, standing next to her. "I just gave them an idea so Lisa would be aware." Seige shrugs her shoulders and walked toward her daughter. "Dad." Ella called me with her deep voice as she glared at me with her crossed arms then shifted her gaze to her favorite enemy, which is her mom. "Let her have another kid, isn't it much better that she'll give her attention to other and I can have all your attention?" "Oh so it's ok for you having a brother just because it'll benefit you?" Jennie asked mockingly while swinging her head with attitude as she scoffed, crossing her arms on her chest then glare back at her daughter. I really can't have a peace between these two, though I'm already used to them being bitchy towards each other but as much as possible, I want them to stop biting each other's neck and slapped onto their faces, that Jennie is Ella's mom, and Ella is Jennie's daughter. Unless they already forgot that they're blood related, that's just absurd. "Of course, we're always fighting for dad, so it's much better to have another kid and focus your attention to that thing." I slapped my forehead while shaking my head in disbelief, Jennie used to call Ella a thing and now I'm hearing Ella calling her supposed to be sibling a thing. What a life I have here. "Ok girls, stop. We're not going to have another member in this family and that's final." I said dismissively and turned to Jilian, ignoring the ladies who looked at me dumbfounded. "Thanks for picking up the kids." "Welcome, but please, next time you need to pick them up, I'm a commander not a f*****g baby sitter." She said as she took Chaesoo's arm. "I'm the King, not a baby sitter." I banters back. "But you're Ella's dad tho." She said as she shrugged her shoulders and I looked at her ludicrously, as if Chaesoo wasn't her daughter. "By the way, I need everyone at the hall, 17:00 sharp, we might need to talk about the bloating incidents happening in the mortal world." As the commander of the vampire clan, Jilian was the best at taking information to the mortal world with Jongy as her second in command, Byulie became our people who will report every incidents happening there, along with Koop and Lucy. We, as the ruler of every kingdom after defeating those who tried to be the dictator of their own state, are the ones who were obligated to maintain the peace between mortals and vampires, but it's not like mortal are aware of our presence, they are still dumb and unaware, but we still need to protect them in order to have peace surroundings for our children who has been attending classes in mortal's world. // The squad arrived at the meeting hall at exactly 5 PM sharp where we usually held the meetings or for some stupid matters. I sat on the end of the table with Jennie on my right side and Seige on my left, then everyone just seated wherever they like but Jilian stood up in the front with Jongy on her side, clutching a bunch of papers and when the commander nodded at her, she handed us the papers one by one. "What's this?" I asked as I saw few dead bodies were found in a dense forest. "As you can see, those are dead bodies." Jilian said and we all looked up to her and stared at her ludicrously. "She's asking what's that." She scoffed and rolled her eyes. "She meant, why there are dead bodies? We can see that it's dead bodies, Jil." Yerry said as she chuckled and crumpled the paper to throw at the commander. "Those are dead bodies that found in a dense forest." Jilian said again and I waved the paper in the air to get her attention before crumpling it and throw it at her. "We know, it's literally written on the paper! Can you be more serious? Out of 18 people inside the meeting hall, only one vampire had the guts to tease Jennie and you clearly know who it was, right? Of course, the one and only girl that's been gutsy all throughout her life being with us. Yoo Im Naian. She stood up and walked towards us, I thought she's going to pull Jennie away from me but she walk across my back and sat on my other lap, causing all of them to gasps before bursting out into loud laughter. "Rouge vampires running around loose and they're kidnapping and draining the populace, local law enforcement can't get a handle on it, over a hundred people are missing in Busan and across Jeju, and yet very few bodies have turned up drained which is on the first paper I've handed." Jilian filled me in and this is how we usually discuss the issue, started with dumbness but still proceed at the main problem. "So you mean, there are vamps taking mortals as their food and yet no one has ever told us about this and they've waited hundred people to went missing before they'd reached out?" Seige sounded professional and calm with just hint of snark that always came out when it's about vamps or werewolves making a mess in the mortal world. "Law enforcement doesn't want to spread the problem because they're afraid that mortal might freak out–." "We're talking about hundreds of people here, Jil. If two or three person was gone, they should have panicking by now but no, they've waited it to be hundred before they'd address this issue." I snarked and looked up to the girl on my lap and smiled. "So you are telling me that our friends was also kidnapped by rouges?" "Yes, Sunny told us that Byulie was last seen two days before she sent us the report." Jilian said and she handed me another paper, Sunny is Byulie's wife. "Rouge vamps left this note to Lucy's flat." "An eye for an eye." "What's the meaning of this?" She asked and some of them nodded, I stayed still and wait for her to proceed as she really got my attention now upon hearing my daughter's name. "They were a vamp zombies, kind of demons, silver-eater, a simple stake won't take them out, they were those vamps who are not easy to defeat and they were after Ella because they believe that the kid will be the only weakness of Lisa." "So they are not really that strong, they still need a foyer to take down Lisa. Does Lisa has nothing against them?" Seige asked and Jennie looked at me, her gaze was heavy, then a small smile started, one corner of her mouth tilted up. "Who knows? Her fangs hadn't come out at all." And as of that, I had realized that she's right, I haven't seen nor noticed my fangs showed up even once, even Ella who was just one year old before but I already saw her fangs but unlike me that I was already at this age but not even a pointed fangs had come out, except the fangs when I'm in my werewolf body, of course, how stupid and fool it is if I have no fangs if I'm a wolf. "Why? Does her fang can make everyone pee on their pants?" Jilian snorted and shoved Jennie lightly on the side using her shoulder. "We need to go to mortal world, find these motherfuckers and kill them all." "Do all of us need to go?" René asked but Jilian immediately shook her head. It's still the same, nothing much changed, the round table with chairs around it, large rocks on every corner, plants and flowers still blooming every springtime, bench stone still sitting under the big live oak tree, and the Bermuda grass that well trimmed under our feet, nothing really changed, except that there are now kids running and playing around the corners now. Ella looked at me and waved her hand, I waved back and blow a flying kiss to her and she sliced it with imaginary sword in the air making me to frown but she ran to me and I quickly bend over and offered my cheek then I felt her lips pressed on it. I love Chaesoo so much and my wife, but being careless and don't have too much job like this, that was the best time of my life." Jilian said and for the third time, we all nodded our heads fervently. "Here's the beer." Chewy said as she gives bottle each one of us and we removed the cap before chugging it. "Thank you, Chewy." I said, after chugging half of my beer. "You're always welcome, Your Majesty." She teased "Shut up." I coyly said and throw the cap at her. "Call me Lisa, I don't want some s**t royal address, just call me where you used to call me." "A'right d**k Lord." Jilian chimes in as she put her laptop in front of me. She's really cute and scary at the same time just by thinking she would grow like her mom. s**t! Ella giggled and poke my cheek causing me to tear my gaze from Jilian and shifted at her. "Bathroom are sacred for my Dad." She breathe out with a teasing tone in her voice. "Nabi!" I exclaimed. "You're right, b***h!" They all jeered and broke out into loud laughter, even Yerry who's still typing on the laptop paused for a second just to laugh and she continued. "Shut up!" I hissed and squint my eyes at Ella, though she's right but I'm not gonna admit that, not in front of my kid. "Why don't you go and play with the others? I'm still working on something here." "But I missed you." "Yeah?" I asked mockingly and ruffles her hair. "Go on and play with your friends, Daddy still in a meeting." "Yeah, a meeting with beers." She scoffed and jumped off from my lap. "Just don't get drunk too much or mom will drag your ass inside the castle." She said making the squad laugh and she ran back to her friends. "s**t, the nostalgic feelings coming back again." Seige said dreamily. "Yeah, remember when you almost die and Anna and Minari had to save your dying ass? What a moment." Jongy said and mimicked Seige's face and we all laugh again. That was the moment when I transformed into my werewolf form and I killed seven guy in just a snap and a part where I hurt Jennie are still taunting me. "Here, Lisa. I think this is the place where we need to go." Yerry said as she turned the laptop to me. "I don't know if that's the exact place, but there's no harm in trying." Jilian walked across the table and stopped behind me, she bend her body to have a better look at the place Yerry showed me and she chuckled, her head turned upright. "This is a temple." "I know but the address says that that's the rouge's hideout." Yerry replied and chugged on the bottle she was holding. "Ok, we'll leave tomorrow, get armed and prepare." I said in finality and they all nodded to me and we continue our drinking session until we got lose our sanity and we got drunk. __________
