Anybody would expect her to whine and complain; I did. I was expecting her to start crying about how unfair it is to go and feed ugly and poor people, you know, all that stuff she says when she doesn't like something, but instead, she's casually talking to her only two friends. The only two people who can stand her. It takes us an hour to get to the shelter. Lesley arrived earlier to make all the arrangements, get the food, clothes and all that so I begin to give instructions as soon as we enter.
