The secret entrance was so noticeable that it was actually quite easy to miss. There was a quietness as we headed down the narrow hall that, I assume would eventually lead to civilization of the human resistance. I chanced a glance at the little siren and practically felt the anxiety that suddenly emanated through her. Curiosity stabbed at me as I watched her, the fear so thick the aura of it became physical to my eyes.  What on earth had happened to this weapon that caused such a stir in her resolve? It was something that rendered her useless. Something that she seemed to be unable to control. But what was it?
