The next day at school, Iris could barely function. Sleep had been elusive after last night’s events, leaving her with dark circles under her eyes and a cloud of exhaustion that trailed her. As she reached the school entrance, Mia was already waiting for her, cheerful as always.
"Whoa! Are you alright?" Mia asked, her brow furrowed with concern.
