“You’re what?” Elizabeth couldn’t hide her surprise at what she had just heard.
“What’s so difficult to understand? Are you still sleeping or something?” Ashton was visibly annoyed by the woman’s reaction to what he had said.
“No, it’s not that… I’m surprised Ethan’s willing to date you. I had my eyes on him from the start but you beat me to it.” Elizabeth said with a teasing tone to her childhood friend.
“Oh, shut it Lizzy. How about you go and find yourself a boyfriend instead of eyeing mine?” Ashton retorted back but all he heard was a giggle from his friend.
“Hah… So when is Ethan coming over today?” Elizabeth asked as she checked the calendar on her phone.
“He’s not coming over today.” Ashton said while navigating his wheelchair towards the kitchen.
