Unwilling Mate

Chapter Five

“What?! You broke up with Kamilla? I heard about it this afternoon from her father. Not only that but this girl assaulted her. That’s a little much.” Keidan flinched from the booming sound of his father’s rant. He figured that Kamilla would spare all details where she was at fault.

“Can you calm down and listen, dad?” Nicholas sighed and took a seat in his office and waited for his son to speak.

“I originally thought that Kamilla was my mate, but she wasn’t. Riley is, the night my wolf smelled her, he decided that she was mate. The mate bond also woke Riley’s wolf and she shifted right there.”

Nicholas’ jaw dropped. “Riley shifted? She has her wolf?! That’s good news. Your mate bond?”

“I have accepted Riley as my mate, and she has accepted me. We’ve already marked each other.” Nicholas was surprised, but said little. “She wasn’t born here, but Allison and Derrick did an excellent job of raising her up and integrating her into the pack. So I guess your intention is to put her forward as the new future Luna?”

“Exactly.”

Nicholas sighed and rubbed his temples. “Sure, but there’s some things about Riley’s past that needs to be discussed with her. It also concerns us all.”

The next day, Keidan and Riley missed school for a private meeting in the Alpha King’s office. Keidan led Riley to sit down and the both of them sat opposite to Nicholas as he pulled a file and sat it down.

“So I’m going to apologize for keeping so much hidden from you, but understand that this was for your own protection. You were born as Riley Silvan. Your mother was the Luna of the Redwood Pack. Not only does the shifter blood run in your family, but so does magic. Your grandmother was a spell-weaver for the Redwood pack, when the Alpha found out that she was his mate. It’s rare for humans to be mated to humans. She was transformed through the mating ritual and found a wolf. They bore your mother, and Cecelia grew to be the next Luna and took another Alpha from a different pack as her chosen mate. Alpha Cedric. Things got hard for her when they discovered some prophecy about you possibly receiving the magic genes from your grandmother and being the downfall of our kind. They didn’t believe all that hogwash, personally I don’t either. However, another Alpha in a different pack, Blackwood. Decided that the only option was to have you killed, before you could become a threat. So, they gathered their army of men and went to Redwood. They offered your parents a choice, let them end your life or be killed. Your parents fought hard for your safety. Men and women lost their lives trying to protect the Alpha and Luna, after your father fell, the Luna managed to get you away, at the cost of her own life. She lasted long enough to get you here, before finally succumbing to her wounds.”

Riley felt tears staring to form in her eyes and blinked them away as she listened to all of this, unable to react. “Why are you telling me all of this?” She asked suddenly.

Nicholas sighed and pulled out a picture of her parents. “By putting you forward as the future Luna, we will also be putting you in danger. I’m by no means trying to fight destined mates. I’m no fool, but this kind of attention… there’s much that needs to be brought to light. After Keidan’s graduation. He will be given the mantle of Alpha of this pack. You will be crowned as his Luna, and your safety and the safety of this pack will become Keidan’s responsibility.”

“What about you, dad?” Keidan suddenly asked. “I have other responsibilities to see too in other packs. Silversin will be yours to oversee.”

“I won’t let you down.” Nicholas chuckled. “See that you don’t, I hear the summers are so nice in the south lands. I’d hate to have to leave only to return to save you.”

Riley went straight home after the meeting. She had a lot to think about. She returned to school the following day, Kamilla avoided Riley, for the most part. Though she was angry, Keidan followed Riley when he could. Stealing kisses, in empty hallways that always seemed to leave Riley’s head spinning. After school, Keidan went home with Riley. They did some school work after dinner, and when the coast was clear, he trapped Riley on her bed and spent time kissing her. Things became heated rather quickly. Kissing lead to Riley yanking down his pants, and Keidan wasted no time yanking her thin panties to the side and entering her. Once they were connected again, he began thrusting in and out of her. He grabbed at her chest with his hands and nipped at her neck with his teeth. She gasped, and arched underneath him. He rolled her over, and pulled her skirt up around her hips. He yanked her panties down and re entered her and slid his hand underneath them to rub her little bud as he continued to pound in and out of her. She bit her bottom lip to keep from crying out as he heightened her pleasure. It didn’t take long of this kind of treatment, and Riley tipped over the edge and reached her climax. The pulsating sensation around him, drove Keidan on and he finally reached his own heights and spilled his seed inside of her.

When Allison came back up to check on them, Riley and Keidan were sitting on the bedroom floor doing their homework. She brought them some drinks and snacks. She smiled as she closed the door. She knew exactly how new mates were, and decided not to pry. Riley showered and got ready for bed and climbed into bed with Keidan snuggling in behind her.

“Care for another round?” He said kissing her cheek.

“Of course.”
