I don’t intend this book as any sort of statement against publishing houses. I run my own publishing company, JMS Books LLC, and I’d like as many submissions by great authors as I can get. But I know there are writers out there who want to break into publishing on their own terms, or writers whose books are too controversial to be picked up by a publisher, or writers who want to go it alone. Those authors are always going to be dissatisfied when working with publishers, and I hope this book helps them find the audience intended for their works.
