Chapter Five

“DD06FS4W planet,

The history of this planet was a complex one, especially for the Caretaker, who wished not only to study the different species but also the planet.

However, the most popular tale of history was the origin of the Dragon Kingdom. Believed to be the reason there were separate three kingdoms and not only one peaceful Kingdom. But some species never want one kingdom, they just wanted to be alone and rule amongst themselves. But the story of these kingdoms begins with one supreme King. He was one powerful demon, rumoured to have created by a clan of evil witches. Some believed blessed by the gobs with ability to take powers from those who oppose him.

No matter how many people wondered and rumoured his powers, it still brought fear. No one knew his origin, but they remembered his mass of followers, who feared and believed his claim to be King of all. It took ten years of war to have all to bend the knee to him and give him power to rule the different kingdoms. Pleased with himself such he built a grand palace for himself. He also had thousand women in his harem, even men in some rumours.

Everyone hated him, but their fear for him stopped them to plot ways to over throne him.

But there was one, an Elder fae. She knew she could not challenge in a combat fight cause she was no match for him. But she knew a trick of the heart would be his weakness. So, the elder fae approached him with a challenge, but it was not any other challenge. She asked him if he knew how to win the heart of a person, and he agreed because he was handsome, powerful and had riches. So, she told him if he were to win the heart of a person without the use of magic, and that person must confess their love for you with honesty.

This person can be any; female or male, fae, witch, demon or shifter. It was their will to see past his looks, power and riches. That person must love him for who he was.

The king, filled with pride and confidence, asked the elder fae what shall he gain from accepting this challenge. She offered him any anything he desired, so he asked for power. She agreed if he won, she would give him any power he desired. But if he loses, then she will strip him of his powers.

He agreed to the challenge... Knowing there was a time limit.

Rumours of this challenge spread like wildfire from within the palace’s wall until out the palace gates. People wondered what power the king would want because he had everything. Some wondered who would like a monster to like him. But those who desired the king wanted this chance. Whenever the king was in the city, they would try everything to get his attention. However, none interested him even though they stated their love for him. It was nothing but empty words.

Until one night when the king was attending an event in a small town, he stumbled in an interesting bar. A drunk low-level demon loudly confessed her deep hatred for the king. She proudly insulted him because he was responsible for death of her family and fellow villagers. Her loud drunk mouth interested him.

When he made his presence known, she continued to curse him, and he found it... Cute.

That following day, a sober little demon wakes up in the palace. She was not in the dungeon, but in a guest room. Without fear she went to see the king, her head held high and her heart accepting death because she could not wait to see her family. Before the king, she continued her hateful speech to him even though the king threatened to kill her. He released her though but continued to pester her as she tried to live a normal life. Then the king realised he had developed feelings for the little demon, so he charmed her to win the challenge.

At first, the King’s tease disgusted the little demon about and his chase towards her. She wished to kill him, especially when he kept sending her gifts from followers to jewellery to exotic clothing. What made matters worse, he took her from her home to live in the palace. But for some odd reason, she slowly fell for the king. She kept wondering if she will push aside his ruthless murders and abuse of power. When she was alone with him, she saw a whole new side of him, but when seated on the throne, he changes into that cruel demon King she hated.

Time, however, for the King was running out. The elder fae would win if he does not get the little demon to confess her love towards him. And he did not want to lose his powers to a fae. Also, without power he cannot rule, and his people will see it as a chance to over throne him.

The thought of being weak angered him, he needed to act fast.

On a wonderful night, all three moons full and in their wonderful colours, deep purple, a fiery red and pale grey. In the royal palace, the King invited the little demon for a night stroll, and there he confessed his love for her. She was of course shock and taken, she still trying to figure her feelings for him. Without a word, she ran off to her room. She wanted to be alone; she did not want to feel pressured and she wanted to understand her feelings. He murdered her family and villagers, was going to just forgive him and love him. But he treated her with love and care...

She knew she needed to talk to the King, so that very night, she went to look for the king. But she did not except to the king already in bed with another, especially from his harem. Heartbroken, she ran away from the palace. She could not believe the King would be this disgusting. She could not believe her heart would want him then she remembered about hearing the challenge between an elder fae and the king.

Could that rumour be true, well, she will believe from what she saw. He tricked her to believe he was a loving man, but he never was as interested in her as she was. He was using her for his own gain. So, filled with anger and pain, she travelled to find the elder fae. She travelled for all day and night until she reached to the home of the elder fae. There she asked about this challenge if it was true or just false rumours.

As she feared the waste, the rumours were true and that the King did not have time. The little demon told the elder fae about her story with the king and her feelings. Her love for him died, and all she wanted was revenge for only her broken heart, but also for those hurt by him.

So, she made a deal with the elder fae, and they both plotted against the king...

Meanwhile, when the king learnt about the little demon’s disappearance, he was both angry and worried. He thought confessing his love would easily make her confess hers, but she runs away. He worried because he invested his time and energy on the little demon such that time ran out. He had only that night to get her to confess her love for him, or else the elder fae would come and collect her winnings. But as the sun was setting, the little demon appeared and there and then she confessed her love.

However, the king did not know it was a lie. Her heart broken and filled with anger that the love it had for him gone in flames.

That very night, the elder fae appeared, and she said nothing, not even greetings. The King was too boastful ignoring the fae behaviour, believing it was her angry that she lost. He then asked for the power he desired. He asked the ability to shift into a grant winged monster that has strength, fast healing ability and fire controlling ability. She performed the spell, however; the power did not go to him, but to the little demon.

The elder fae told him, he has lost the challenge for the little demon has no longer have love for you. Instead, she has hatred towards you and has approached her to make a deal. The little demon took the power he desired and what was worse, he was losing his.

The elder fae took the King’s power and the little demon killed him in fire, then she went after those who supported the King. Anyone who wanted vengeances that very night, killed. Making her the new queen. And in her new rule, she allowed the fae and shifters to rule amongst themselves as she promised to the elder fae. With that act done, some demons especially high levelled demons did not like that.

The high levelled always supported the late King because he was not only power but also, he ruled over the fairies and shifters. They saw the little demon as weak and worthless. So, they plotted against her. Low levelled demons supported their new Queen even though tension from high levelled demons was growing high. But when trouble happened between demons, little demon knew she had to protect for followers. Fearing for her fellow demons, she found a witch from a mountain clan. She asked the witch to give her followers her powers, so they can protect themselves against the high levelled demons.

It took a long month for the witch to perform the spell, but she finally did it. But the spell was so complex that those who became dragons had different strengths. Some could shift, some could not, some could control fire, and some could not. That never stopped them from fighting.

War broke out between dragon and demon, but finally two kingdoms formed and separated. There are still tension and hate between the two kingdoms from this day. The fae and shifters free, living farther south in the mountains and forests, away from the war between the two kingdoms. “

Emma finally finished the story; Olivia was still hooked on the story. She wanted to know more, and she had questions. “What happened the Dragon Queen?” She asked, leaning in.

“In the throne room of the Dragon Kingdom there’s a dragon skeleton in this gigantic crystal wall. It is the largest dragon in that kingdom, and everyone believe it is her. We are so interested in getting samples, but the people don’t want to disturb their Queen’s tomb.”

“Do you really think it’s her?”

Emma shrugged, “could be... We just don’t know.”

“So, dragons are demons, but demons and they are still fighting. Can’t they put the past to the past?”

Emma chuckled, “it would make sense to put the past to the past, but the demon King wants the past to be present.”

“He wants to rule everything?” Emma nobs, “what about Draco? How does he fit in all this?”

“His mother was a high levelled demon, who hated the demon King and wanted to end his rule. Prince Draco’s father knew this, and he wanted to join forces to try bringing back that very same dragon, who started it all.

But they knew they could not just have a child like that because it takes a long time for a demon to become pregnant. Also, if people were hear about this child, they would do everything and anything in their power to stop it from happening. So, we were contacted, and we were glad to have this child to become reality.” She grinned.

Olivia smiled softly but it slowly turned to a frown, “so what will happen when Draco go back? Will his mother and father come together?”

“Prince Draco will be a sign of strength and power to his people. As for his mother, Lady Iris passed away a week after we told she has a son and King Agni is currently married.”

Her heart dropped hearing that Draco’s mother was dead, and he does not know. That explained why he has not received messages from his mother. Olivia has known that Draco always wanted to talk his parents but even though he has been getting messages from his father, he always wondered about his mother.

She was gone...

“When will you guys going to tell about his mother?” Olivia asked.

Emma shook her head, “we were ordered not to tell him, his father wants to tell him before he comes home.”

“But you told me.”

“You are not Prince Draco and it is not like he will ask about his parents from you.”

But I know these secrets, she thought to herself. She felt like she needed to tell him but at the same time, she did not want to break his heart. Was she willing to keep it to herself?
