Hudson's P.O.V I could see the hope swimming in Ava's eyes, how soft they became with every word Ron uttered. I saw her face twist as it displayed different emotions, but I held my tongue. Every child sought the attention of their parents. They sought the pride and love and right now those were evident on Ava's face... I didn't want to interfere. I was afraid that if I uttered so much as a word the spell would be broken and Ron would take back every word she had said. I thought I would jinx it, so I remained quiet. I observed ready to step in if need be. I couldn't say for sure if Ron was being serious, if she had changed. I couldn't say what it was that made her change, but I hung on to the hope that she meant everything she said. I wouldn't be held accountable if she hurt my Ava again
