Emery
I went back, I couldn't bring myself to go inside. I just parked the truck and watched. At exactly nine o'clock she exited the front doors.
Damon was raging inside my head.
"She's you're f*****g mate, just go get her Emery. You're an Alpha, don't act like a pussy."
I sigh attempting to push back my wolf, but ever sense he saw her, he's been insufferable.
Instead of walking out to a car she leaned against an outer wall of the store and slid down the wall, taking a seat on the concrete.
The rest of the store empties and the lights turn off and she is still sitting there.
Against my better judgement I open the truck door and make my way to her as rain begins to patter the pavement. I should just leave her be, I can't be the man she is going to need. Especially, with a past like hers. But, as always my c**k thinks before my head.
"GIN! Get in the truck, I'll give you a ride."
Her vivid eyes turn to me as I approach, her brows furrow and she wraps her arms around her chest.
"I don't know who you think you are, but I am not going anywhere with you."
Damon, growls in my head at her disobedience.
"Shut it Damon, shes clearly not a wolf."
She keeps denying my help, Even now as I am kneeling in front of her wrapping my suit jacket around her.
"Gin, I promise I won't try anything. You just can't sit out here in the rain, you'll get sick."
She ignores me and looks down at her phone, the corners of her peachy lips down turning.
"It's fine, I'll walk."
She stands and attempts to move passed me, but my irritation takes over and I effortlessly pull her back by her waist, and fling her over my shoulder and saunter to the truck.
"WHAT THE ACTUAL f**k!"
She begins banging her fists against my back and kicking her feet into my ribs.
Gladly she can't see the smirk forming on my face. She was so weak, it felt like she was trying to tickle me more that fight me, not gonna deny it was kind of a turn on.
My eyes grow wide as she gives up on her ventures with her feet and hands and she bites down on my shoulder.
My brain was going a thousand miles a minute, She had no idea what she just did. I could feel as Damon's hunger for her grew insurmountably.
I quickly opened the door of the truck and set her inside, closing it abruptly behind her.
I duck out of her sight beside the vehicle and reach to my shoulder, my fingers grazing over her bite mark. My tensed muscles relax as I realize she didn't break the skin.
"That was a close call."
I whisper breathy while pulling myself into the driver seat. I gaze over at Gin whose eyes read terror.
"If you're going to kill me just do it quick please."
She turns her face downward and stares at the floor mat.
Without thinking I place my fingers under her chin and direct her view to me.
"I'm not going to hurt you Gin. Now where do you live, I'll take you home."
She watches me closely as I turn from her and start the truck.
"If you don't tell me Gin, You're going home with me."
I shine her a cheeky smirk with an arched eyebrow. The smirk grows as I catch the hint of a blush on her cheeks.
As I turn out of the parking lot, she diverts her attention to the water washed roadway.
"I live in the Village apartments down the road to the left. You'll see the sign before the inlet drive."
I nod and after a few minutes of silence I turn into the maze of apartment buildings.
"Which building?"
She turns to me, her pale green pools boring into my soul.
"Building six."
I scan my vision through the windshield and locate the building. I pull up to the entry way and park the car.
She doesn't leave, she doesn't make a singular movement.
"Gin, this is the correct building right?"
She nods and reaches for the door, but before I can think about my actions I place my hand on her shoulder spinning her back towards me.
She curls up into herself and pushes her body against the truck door clenching her eyes shut.
I sigh at my stupidity and pull my hand away.
"I'm sorry, that was inappropriate."
Her entrancing eyes open and a rage washes over them.
"Ya f*****g think! I have no idea who you are, I don't even remember your name. You forced me into your truck, you psycho."
It takes everything in me to not laugh at her reaction.
"My name is Emery Reed. Now we're not strangers. Do you need a ride to work tomorrow Gin?"
Her features pause as if frozen, her eyes peering directly into mine. Tempting me to pull her onto my lap and find out if she tastes the same way she smells.
"No, I'm off tomorrow."
She mutters quietly while gathering her wits.
I grin at her statement, While white knuckling the steering wheel to keep from touching her again.
"Good, I'll pick you up at noon. Call it a date, dress comfortably."
She laughs like I'm joking and closes the door as I speed out of the Village.
As I pull up to the pack house I take a deep breath and steady myself, I didn't need the entire pack knowing I found her, let alone her being human.
I park and move my way quietly through the house to my room, locking the door behind me.
I couldn't get her scent off of me, it was driving me insane. All I could think of was marking her, bringing her home and making her mine. That smell of the forest after a fresh rain, it was heavenly. When I had her against the wall it took every ounce of my strength not to just mark her and take her at that moment.
I lay out on top of my bed, sleep hopelessly evading me.
Everytime my eyes closed she's all I can see, her enrapturing gaze, plump pouty lips, and pale skin.
I couldn't wait to see her out of that horrendous uniform.
"Preferably in our bed naked, beneath us."
"You need to slow way the f**k down Damon."
I'm not going to lie though the thought of her curled up in my bed, her ginger waves toppling over the pillows was not a unpleasant one.
I hated that she lived in the Village. That place is disgusting and hardly liveable, unbefitting her.
I close my eyes and pray to the Moon Goddess that noon tomorrow comes quickly.
