I look at Alpha Maurice and then at Phoenix. Why is Alpha Maurice asking Phoenix who he is?
"Greetings, Alpha Maurice," Phoenix says nonchalantly.
"I'm not going to ask again. Who are you two? And why are you trespassing in my territory?"
"I am simply walking Ivy back to her house, Alpha. It's the gentlemanly thing to do," Phoenix replies, then looks at Ryder with a bitter expression. "If anything, this man is trespassing," he says, pointing at Ryder.
"Hold on, I'm confused," I speak up. "I thought Alpha Maurice already knew you, Phoenix."
Alpha Maurice looks at me with a stern expression. "I've never seen him in my entire life, Ivy. You can't just bring any stranger to my territory without my permission."
"But...you picked him for me yourself!" I chirp.
