The room looks exactly the same. Not that I imagined much to change in the few hours since I was here last. Jace had laid Liam on the bed and locked the door after I was secured in the room. I slid my back against the wall and slumped to the ground, staring at the bed. "I'm sorry. I'm not doing a good job taking care of us." I don't know who I am apologizing to really. Maybe a combination of Liam, my parents and myself. I knew it would be difficult. I knew we would struggle, but I didn't realize some of the choices would have a greater significance.
