***Leo’s POV***
“Alpha reports of a fire just outside of the east boarder, there are a number of bodies. Wolves and Rouges… Sacrifices.”
Willow stood in the office door way, I turned to her and snarled.
“I want those cells to be filled with Rouges by the end of the day, send out patrol tell them to go over the boarders and find as many Rouges and drag them back here for questioning,” I said but she looked straight at me.
I growled and stepped towards her.
“What is it Willow?”
Her eyes held disappointment, and it wasn’t because of me.
“Alpha… The wolves are scared; the witches draw closer and they fear that they will be next in the witch’s sacrifices.”
I stood right in front of her eyes glowing red, she showed no fear. Willow was beautiful and strong, but she was nothing compared to Gia. Willow was her best friend, they grew up together and when she died Willow was merciless against the Rouges. She tore through then with no hesitation, that was what earned her top Warrior and third in command. Gia gifted the locket that hung around her neck to her; it held a picture of the both of them. Willow had changed since then, Gia was all she had.
“And do you feel the same?”
Her eyes wondered to the picture of Gia that sat on my desk, her eyes sparked to gold and she growled.
“I will see them burn.”
I smirked and pushed the strand of hair that fell behind her ear, her eyes returned to normal and I cupped her cheek.
“I will ensure it but for now I need a favour,” I said and she frowned.
“I have the Mate of the Rouge king and for me to get to him I must go through her, I’ve seen your hatred for them… I can’t persuade her in the way that’s needed until Lena leaves, so I’m leaving it to you,” I said and I moved towards the door opening it for her.
“You want me to persuade her? To do what exactly?”
The thought of her pain sent shivers down my spine; the look of fear in Iris’s eyes only brought my satisfaction.
“I know deep down she’s hiding something and I want you to dig it out of her, and when we have him… I intend to take away what he cherishes the most.”

***Iris’s POV***
Hunger.
I had felt its claws before, my bones pushed tight against the skin. It was painful but I was used to it, when I was with him he only ever feed me once a week. Thirst was the worst, my body dried from the inside out and every time I moved it felt like my insides were scraping against sand paper. I slowly pulled myself up against the stonewall, I tried not to move a lot and save what energy I had left. My knees patched with blood and ripped skin, as I sat on the ground a soft whisper caught my attention.
“Iris.”
I looked up but saw no one; I frowned but brushed it off as I thought it was just my mind playing tricks on me.
“Iris.”
There was nothing but the dim glow of the candle that sat on the stonewall; I felt a chill run down my spine.
“Remember.”
I was beginning to worry; if you heard voices in your head I’m sure you’d feel the same. The candle began to flicker and I pulled myself up to stand, I held myself up using the wall and made my way towards the iron door. The flame suddenly stood still.
“Who’s there?”
Hushed voices flowed through me and fear followed.
“Come on Iris papa’s waiting.”
As I gazed at the single flame the voices became clearer.
“Where are you?” I whimpered my hands shaking against the iron frame.
“Right here.”
I turned around and in fright screamed as a cloud of black smoke devoured me, images of a fire flew through me until my skin began to burn. Screams of agony surrounded me, the imagines cleared until I was back in the mansion staring at the portrait.
“Amelia please tell your father to get your sister ready, the others will be arriving shortly,” A women dressed in blue crossed through the room to the kitchen.
A young girl hurried towards the stairs, she was one of the twins from the painting. As I followed her she reached a room engulfed in sunlight, the walls were coloured a soft mint green and decorated with butterflies.
“Papa, mama says the others will be here shortly,” she said as she jumped on one of the single beds that sat against the wall.
“Ris is ready, Lees ready and Papas ready. Now why don’t you girls go show mama your new dresses.”
The two children giggled and ran past me; I smiled as I watched them race each other down stairs. Before turning to follow I stopped and turned back around, he stood looking around the room and smiled as he picked up a piece of paper covered in scribbles. Suddenly the floor began to shake beneath him and he stumbled forward, the sound of screams was heard from down stairs.
“Penelope!”

“Open the doors! Now!”
Lucas entered the cell and pulled my limp body into his arms, tremors from my visions vibrated against my skin.
“Iris! Iris wake up.”
My eyes shot open coming to line with his, his warmth calmed my broken body. I sighed and dwelled in the comfort of him.
“What happened?” I whispered and he sat me up.
“You were in some sort of trance, when I approached your cell you fell and to me it looked like you were having a seizure,” he said and I winced at the ache in my side.
My wounds had not healed at all, I should have healed by now but something felt different.
The cell door opened and a woman stepped in holding a tray of bandages, her eyes meet mine and all I saw was pity.
“Willow what are you doing here?” Lucas asked as he helped me stand and held me for support.
“Well I was here to continue Leos work, he sent me down to pry more out of her, doing whatever it took. He was very persuasive, but I’m not cold hearted so I thought maybe a show of kindness would help.”
As she gave Lucas the tray she walked out and returned with a steel chair, she motioned for me to sit.
“I’m not going to bite, so please sit and let me help.”
I surrender to her and sat down with the help of Lucas, she pulled away what remained of my clothes and wiped down the wounds with antiseptic.
“Lucas why don’t you go to my room and pick out a pair of clean clothes for her, Leos stepped away with Lena. Find Iris something to eat, poor thing looks malnourished” she said and I turned to Lucas and he frowned.
“I’m not going to hurt her Luke now go before Leo returns.”
With a sigh he left, Willow did not speak as she cleaned my wounds.
When she was done she began to stich the deeper cuts, it hurt but it was bearable. Once she had wrapped them she stepped back and looked over her work.
“It’s not greys and anatomy but it will do, the wolfs bane is almost out of your system so they should heal soon,” she said offering a small smile.
“Why are you helping me?” I asked softly and she sighed.
“Because someone I loved once told me that even the smallest speck of kindness goes a long way, and I’m not much for torture that’s to medieval for me,” she said and I smiled slightly.
“But I must ask you for something in return, the Alpha thinks your hiding something. And if I don’t relay anything back to him, we are going to need more bandages,” she said as I sat up slightly.
Her eyes a soft deep brown and her hair was tied in a high pony tail, she had scars on the side of her face that made her look like a warrior princess. Behind the kind eyes I saw a flicker of pain, one that I had seen in mine when I looked in the mirror.
“What will happen to me?”
She gazed down at me with sorrow; she stepped forward and brushed my hair from my face.
“I can’t bare to say.”
