My eyes widened when he mentioned the word “son” did he have a child? Not apparent to the boss, uh. In the few years I’ve been working with him, I haven’t even seen his family. I thought the boss was an older man, what a waste of his looks by chance.

Maybe his son is also handsome, the boss who is even 45y/o is still handsome, how can his son be? “Boss, how old is your son?”

“Same as your age.”

Aaaah. It’s not a child; it’s an older man I’m going to protect.

“When do I start, Boss?”

“I’ll fix your papers first, for the school you’re going to.”

I was shocked to hear what he said. “Wait, boss! Will you send me to school? Maybe you’ll regret it, as long as no one is to blame if I fall.”

Boss laughed at what I said. “You’re the one I like in all my mafia because you’re not only good, but you’re also funny.”

Oh, my boss! He thought I was joking, so I don’t want to study because I’m stupid.

After I talked to the boss, I went out of his office; I was surprised when the two appeared next to me.

“So?” they said at once.

“I have a mission,” I said happily.

“It looks like good news is what the boss said uh, the money the boss can give you will increase again. Sometimes I want to think that our boss is favoritism,” Luna said and pretended to be sulking.

“You’re still wondering, so he’s the leader of our group, isn’t he?” said Seth.

I humbled myself. “Boss just felt sorry for me. I’ll treat you, do you want me? So you don’t get mad at me anymore?”

Suddenly they dragged me. “That’s what we’re waiting for,” Luna said

Suddenly our accomplices blocked our way while we were going outside. “Shadow, one of our boss’s warehouses is on fire!”

“s**t!” We immediately hurried to get in the car, then they tell of what’s going on in the warehouse of our boss.

We were only a few minutes away when we reached our boss’s burning warehouse, where his newly arrived equipment, such as his guns, was placed.

“Call them all and gather them here!” Seth shouted orders to our accomplices.

It was too late when Seth and I arrived; I don’t know if they had anything to spare or not.

“It’s all gone,” Luna whispered to me.

I was shaken when Luna whispered to me, what will our boss tell me.

When they were all here, I stood in front of them. “The enemy can’t know this place because this place is on the border,” I said angrily. “If none of you speaks, I might bury you all alive!”

I gave them three minutes, but no one wanted to answer. I smelled gas, so I approached them one by one; when the smell of gas got stronger, I stopped in front of a worker of our boss, and I saw his hands were wet and his clothes were soaked.

“Hunter!” I shouted at one of our followers, a hunter, so we called him hunter; we also had a sniper, which we called him.

“Correct me if I’m wrong. Does he smell gas?” I asked him

Hunter approached it, and he smelled it; I saw in the man that the hunter smelled the trembling of his body.

Hunter looked at me; silence means yes. I grabbed the gun Hunter was holding and struck him, causing him to lose consciousness.

“Useless! You know what to do with him.” I confronted the other staff of our boss. “Who else ?! Don’t wait for me to come to you.”

Someone stood far away from me. “Boss, we don’t have a choice-” he hadn’t finished what he was going to say when I shot him in the chest.

“You know what will happen when you think of betraying us.”

Boss taught us that before we became mafia, we must learn to be ruthless because the enemy will defeat us when they find us weak. The boss says everything should be, No Mercy.

We left that place; we went back to Headquarters. We saw the boss standing at the main door. So the three of us looked at each other. “After all, you’re Boss’s favorite; maybe you can save us?” Luna said jokingly.

I took a deep breath; when the car stopped, we got off. I immediately approached the boss. “Did you clean the dirt?”

I nodded.

“Good.” He turned to Seth. “Dark, you still have class. So you can leave now.” Seth nodded and left us there. “Light, there are new members, so you take care of them first because Shadow will be busy right now.”

“All right, boss,” Luna left immediately, and the boss confronted me. “You’ll start your mission tomorrow.”

“Did you finish my papers right away, in just one hour ?” I asked in shock.

“Connections, Shadow,” he replied to me; I nodded at what he said. I said goodbye to him; let me see what I will use in my mission so that I will not be recognized.

I couldn’t sleep, so I went to Seth and Luna’s rooms to wake them up.

It’s good that Seth isn’t hard to wake up eh, this Luna, I even received a kick; it’s good that my hand was fast, and I grabbed his foot; it was as if my hand was sprained from catching his kick.

“You’re messing with us again,” Luna said, annoyed, as we walked to the kitchen; here we are now at headquarters.

Usually, we live here, sometimes in our houses not with our family, but the ones we bought for us to not affect our families just in case.
