“Do you have any idea how beautiful you are, sweetheart?” Benjamin asked all of a sudden, almost startling Serena, in front of the company’s entrance.
He cupped her face lovingly and then said, “You make me the happiest man alive.”
Her heart tightened slightly and her eyes misted with tears.
Oh, how she longed to hear these exact words… but, sadly enough, from another man’s mouth.
He narrowed his eyes and looked at her intently and that was when she remembered the plan. He was probably acting this way because Gregory was close by.
Unable as she was to formulate a single sentence, she rose on her tiptoes and planted a hot and feverish kiss on Benjamin’s lips.
