Chapter 18

As we pulled up to Jaces house we slowly get out the car waiting for the next car to park besides us since we couldn't fit everything in Jaces car, so he had to call his other friend Nick to put the rest in his big car.

As Nick pulls up along side Jaces car we all start opening up the car doors and boots and started unpacking." What are you doing" Jace questions me with a voice like he caught a child doing something wrong " we helping unpack" I tell him confused " no no no we will unpack and you girls can relax" I look at Jenny who gives me a huge smile as she drags me off away from the cars " but what are we supposed to do" I ask her as well sit on the grass by the flowers as we watch them " we get to see out sexy men carry our stuff" she laughs and if on cue Mike and Jace take off their shirts and smirk our way " I think they heard you" I giggle "so what if they heard me now I get to see those abs" Jenny says almost drooling over Mike. I also can't help but also stare at Jaces abs as I inspect him up and down and than down and up again. Im caught off guard at Jace proud face as he notices me staring and I quickly look away blushing at the fact that i was spotted. Jenny just laughs at me.

Soon they start taking the clothes in and I quickly get up to find out which room they are going in. Jenny takes this opportunity to run to Mike and catch him off guard as she jumps into his arms and yells "catch me!", which of course he does but i hear the clothes bag he had in his hand fall to the ground as he catches her.

I quickly catch up to Jace as he and Nick start up the stairs with the clothes bags while the books and games and stuff stay at the bottom of the stairs " Jace" at the mention of his name his face lights up with the happy puppy look at being called. I can't help but smile and giggle a little at  the adorableness.

"Which room is mine" I ask him as he reaches the bottom steps holding most of my clothes bags " mine" he says with a smile." What do you mean" I asked him confused " were gonna share a room" I can feel my eyes widen at the shock " we cant share a room" .

"Why not" he tilts his head " cause im a girl and your a boy" I say trying to get the point across. "But were mates so its fine" he quickly walks after Nick now who is waiting at the top of the stairs allowing me no time to talk back. What just happened.

Quickly i run to Jenny and grab her away from Mike and head towards the forest as Jenny blows kisses to Mike. " Ok what is this whole mate thing cause i just went in there and apparently now im sharing the same room with Jace" I ask Jenny with confusion and worry in my voice. Jenny looks at me for a second before sitting on the floor by a tree and patting next to her indicating for me to sit next to her. I think for a second before sitting next to her , she stares off into the forest before speaking " its hard to explain the mate thing but its natural for them that when they find their mate that they share a room" I look at her " but i bearly even know him like what if he has some weird habit or does something to me" I look down worried as my mind starts to wonder to all the bad things that could happen.

" He would never do anything to make you uncomfortable or unhappy Alice and your made for each other so its also hard on both of you to be apart for long after you meet". "It just takes time to get used to it and to get used to their ways" I look at her confused " their ways?".

"Yea like how they do things and they traditions and strong emotions".I need a moment to think about all this, I look out at the forest as I listened to the birds chirping and water flowing somewhere in the far distance. I slowly stand up as if hearing the forest calling to me as id it can help me find all my answers. " I think im just gonna go for a run quick", "why" but just as she asks i can feel the fur coming out and the burning sensation come and go as my clothes fall to bits and pieces around me. I look toward Jenny as she stares at me wide eyed " it looks so different when a girl transforms" she says as she feels my soft fur " I'm jealous" she giggles as she trys to find my itchy spot that dogs have but i quickly move away and soon we are caught in our own game of chase with me running slowly away and her running fast to catch me. I stop as i feel the wind blow through my fur onto my face but im soon taken away from the sensation as Jenny runs into me taking me out of my thoughts. "Gotcha" she smiles as she is just able to grab my leg which is half the size of her.

I can feel her gaze as I stare into the forest one last time before looking back at her " go have a run quick and ill keep the boys busy with organizing" she winks and quickly runs back to the house.

As soon as she is out of view I take off at full speed jumping over roots and rocks and bending through trees. I don't know how far I have run but I can see the sun starting to set and I'm still not even panting after my run which can only mean one thing ..... IM STARTING TO GET FIT. I jump for joy as I turn and start my way back when I hear something snap in the distance. I quickly look in the direction of the noise perking up my ears to hear better when i see them.

Two glowing red eyes, quickly I turn my stance into a defence stance and growl in that direction "who's there" I yell out. Slowly a black and brown wolf emerges from the the shadows in the distance into the light "what do you want" I growl more furiously now "well thats obviously " his voice sounds as if he is laughing at me. All of a sudden the wolf starts running towards me, I growl and bear my teeth but that doesn't stop him. I can hear his low laugh at my attempts in my head.

Soon he is just a few feet from me and I make the quick decision to attack which he doesn't see comes as I leap forward teeth beared and claws in the air as I land on him. " b***h I will make you submit" he yells in my head as I bite down on his neck.
