Tanya's dreams were filled with horrific images. A raven hovered over a burning house. Shrill screams of an infant filled her mind. Alex was covered head to toe in flames, wobbling helplessly out of the smoldering building. A dark figure, covered in black, whisking Alex away from the grey cobblestone alleyway. She then heard him screaming and writhing in agony.
"Tanya!" Alex's voice yelled her name as the dark figure pressed his lips against the base of Alex's neck. The world then started to shake, and she heard him call her name again.
Tanya's eyes flew open. Alex was shaking her, yelling her name. "You were screaming in your sleep...are you okay?" he asked as he saw her eyes were open.
"I-I think so." She clung to his cold, thin body. "It was horrible." She sobbed into his shoulder.
