"Get away from her, James!" Alex said fiercely. Tanya could feel something wet and cold beneath her as she suddenly regained a bit of consciousness and realized she was still lying in the snow. Her eyes were open, but she could hardly focus. Her father knelt beside her, his eyes frantically staring from her face to the wound in her side.
