13 THE HELICOPTER LANDED AT the downtown Manhattan heliport on Pier 6 in the East River. Naomi was looking increasingly pale and the temporary dressing on her leg was sodden with blood. "You need to get to a hospital," Jake said. "I'll take the corpus back to ARKANE myself." She hesitated and he could see how torn she was, desperate to finish what they had started together.
