16 Father Ben Costanza walked through the narrow gate from St Giles and stepped into the heart of Blackfriars, a Dominican Permanent Private Hall of the University of Oxford. Despite the ever-changing matters of faith and internecine squabbles of the Church, not to mention the malleable face of the university, this small quad was one of the constants in Ben's life.
