XYLA Allister ran a hand through his hair, closing his black eyes shut. When he opened them again, they were back to gold, but still lacked their usual spark. My heart pounded in my chest as I eyed him carefully, noticing the unease of his body. Now that I paid attention, he looked rather pale.
