GAVIN'S POV
DECLARATION OF WAR
As we arrived at the location where the attack was happening. The night was thick with the scent of blood and the air hummed with tension.
My senses were heightened, every muscle in his body coiled and ready to strike. “Stay behind me, Iris.”
“I'm capable of protecting myself, Gavin. You should know this by now.” She whispered as we both hid behind the car, watching as the attack took place, some rogues pouncing on our wolves.
“Still, this battle doesn't look mild. Just listen to me for once.”
Iris persisted, she moved with a lethal grace, her eyes narrowed and focused as she led the way. I couldn't help but shake my head. She was too stubborn.
We raced through the forest, shadows among shadows, until we reached the site of the attack.
