Faye's POV
The brakes are broken.
I'm doomed.
The thought of impending doom grows wildly in my mind. I can't help but imagine the worst outcomes and how I'm going to die.
The person just now wasn't the real Leander.
Mom, Louis, Liam, Leander, and Layla. I might never see you guys again.
My heart throbs painfully, and the wind makes my tears flow uncontrollably. I can hardly see the road ahead.
"Faye! What are you doing? Stop this damn car!!"
Erica appears, angrily shouting at me.
I shout back, "I can't! The brakes are broken!!"
Erica paces anxiously and then makes a determined decision, "Gee! Let me take over. I'll jump out."
"No, you haven't fully recovered!" I can't let her take the risk.
Since the explosion incident where she saved me last time, Erica hasn't fully recovered.
