"It's you!" Liam's voice was low and menacing.
Ashley's heart raced, her entire body seeming to lose its warmth. Why did Liam suddenly guess it was her? What had she exposed?
Was it her words just now?! No! No... as long as there's a phone, everyone in the school can see that video; she only stated a fact!
Ashley panicked, thinking perhaps Liam was just trying to scare her into confessing.
Her throat felt constricted, painful even, as she struggled to speak.
"What?? I don't know what you're talking about, Professor," she managed to say.
But suddenly, Liam laughed. That smile made Ashley dazed; it was the first time Liam had smiled at her. It felt like his smile swept away all the gloom in her heart, replacing it with sunshine and a gentle breeze.
