Faye's POV
The game was over.
Unsurprisingly, Leander led Silver Moon to another championship victory.
I knew he could do it. I always knew.
Liam and I exchanged a silent glance, sharing our emotions. After being attacked by the fox, we didn’t let Mom and Louis know about it. We didn’t want them to worry, so only we knew how difficult a time Leander had endured.
But now, he was back!
Flowers and applause surged like waves towards Leander at the center of the field. He was a natural athlete, a star quarterback.
Leander's teammates hugged him, all of them removing their helmets, their smiling faces enlarged on the big screen. Coach Vince also appeared, and the Silver Moon fans recognized him, giving him more applause. Vince took off his cap, rubbed his eyes, and covered his face.
