Chapter 7: Emrys's P.O.V.

1599 Words
"Emrys! There you are!" Fu.ck, fu.ck, fu.ck, fu.ck. Why is Stella here? How did she even find me? And why do I feel so nervous all of a sudden? I tossed back the rest of my drink as Stella marched towards me. "I have been looking all over for you Em," she said. "Why are you... in a place like this?" Stella scrunched up her face as she looked around. That was when she noticed Lennon sitting on the bar stool next to me. Stella's face instantly went sour, and I knew what was going to happen next. Sh.it, I need to get Stella out of here. "Oh, hello there," Stella said to Lennon. Not that Lennon even bothered to look up. She just tossed her drink back before waving the bar tender over. I don't know if she didn't know Stella was speaking to her, or just didn't care. Either way, Stella was not happy about it. "Ahem," Stella said with fake politeness as she tapped on Lennon's shoulder. Lennon finally turned to face her, cup to her lips, eyebrows raised in confusion. "Hi, I was speaking to you. You must not have heard-" "Oh, I heard you." Lennon cut her off. "Kinda hard to not hear someone screeching as they stomp through a bar." I snorted despite myself. Stella frowned at Lennon and crossed her arms. Lennon looked... completely unbothered. It was kind of hot. "So," Stella said, keeping her eyes on Lennon, but wrapping her arms around my arm. I didn't miss the way Lennon's eyes zeroed in on the action. Or the way they turned suddenly hard. In fact, her whole body went rigid. Maybe she is just a crazy fan. "Em, who's your little friend?" Stella asked sweetly. "Fan of yours?" Lennon rolled her eyes when Stella said the word fan. "Uhm, Stella, this is Lennon, she's...." I trailed off unsure of what to say. Honestly, I don't even know Lennon. I could just say that we just met at the bar. It wouldn't be a lie and I don't owe Stella anything anyway. However, Stella might be my ticket to get away from Lennon. They were not kidding when they said that crazy chicks are smoking hot. "Well, I'm definitely no fan," Lennon muttered before sipping her drink. "Then what are you?" Stella asked her. "You aren't a friend, because I know all of Emrys's friends. So what? You randomly decided to sit next to one of the biggest stars in the country, and just... have small talk?" Lennon raised a brow at Stella. I shook my head before looking at her. I was just about to suggest to Stella for us to leave when Lennon spoke. "Actually, that's exactly what happened, but I'm confused." She said. "What does any of this have to do with you?" For some strange reason, a streak of panic washed through me. "Me?" Stella asked as she squared her shoulders. My stomach just sank further and further. "I'm his fiance. We're getting married," Stella announced. Wait, what? "Since when?" I blurted. I was going to use Stella as an escape, but she might be just as crazy at this point. "So, maybe you should try your luck with someone else. Perhaps the man at the end of the bar." Stella said to Lennon, ignoring me, and pointing her finger to the end of the bar. I looked down to see a bald and fat old man. He was sipping a beer, clearly clueless to Stella's insults. Stella is ridiculous. Lennon is way too hot for anyone in this shabby place. My eyes fell back on Lennon to see that she was already looking at me. There was a strange look in her eyes that I didn't quite understand. It was like she was expecting me to... do something, I suppose? When I didn't say or do anything, Lennon raised a brow at me. It was a daring brow. I kind of liked the hidden, silent challenge. I just... wasn't sure what the challenge was exactly. "Well, he sure looks nicer than Emrys," Lennon commented, again, completely unbothered. I frowned at her. What was that supposed to mean? She was the one who was mad. I was as nice as could be. I even tried to take her home with me. Or does Lennon genuinely think that man is nicer looking than me? That can't be right. She would have to be... insane... Well, maybe she just has a strange type. Whatever. I don't care. I'm not upset. Not at all. "Good, talk to him th-" "However, I have some business with Emrys," Lennon cut Stella off. "Fiancé or not, you gotta go, sis." "Sis?" Stella asked with a raised brow. Then Stella turned to me. "Emrys," she whined as she stomped her foot. "Are you just going to let her talk to me like that?" "Please, what could he do?" Lennon scoffed before tossing back the rest of her drink. Stella scowled at the back of Lennon's pretty blonde head. When she opened her mouth to undoubtedly make things worse, I put my hand on the small of her back, and directed her towards the door. With an awkward laugh, I gently shoved Stella forward. "Well, Stella here is clearly drunk from the new year events," I said. "I should get her home." "Yeah, let's go home, Em," Stella said as she jutted her chin in the air. "No Stella, you are going to your home. I am going to mine. That's it." I said low enough for only her to hear. Stella pouted as he exited the bar. Once we were down the street a little ways, I put space between us. I shoved my hands in my pockets as I thought about what happened at the bar. Lennon is clearly like me. I saw her use her powers. I've never met anyone like me before. I wanted to know more. I wanted to ask so many questions. I had so much that I wanted to say, but... Lennon just wouldn't stop talking about my supposed mother. It infuriated me. This mother of mine had never looked for me before. It should have been easy to find me. I mean, Lennon found me. It's not like I was hiding. My face is literally all over the country. Still, something just... didn't sit right with me. I had a longing to know my mother. I felt as if that were a natural response, being an orphan and all. It was like I was running away. Like my body and mouth didn't agree with my heart and head. Not to mention how I felt the moment I walked out of the bar. Like I was walking away from something... important. Not just important either. Like I was walking away from the most important thing in my life. My heart is in my gut and my head hurts the further I get away. Until suddenly, it stopped. I could smell that faint forest scent. Like fresh air and dirt and... something else. Where could a smell like that possibly be coming from in the city? "Em, can I maybe... just come to yours?" Stella asked sweetly. I stopped walking and sighed. I walked to the edge of the sidewalk to flag down a cab. When one stopped, I opened the door for Stella. She beamed at me and climbed in. Then I turned around to face her. "Stella," I said, and she smiled at me. "We are never getting back together. Go home. See you at the shoot tomorrow." With that, I shut the cab door, and began walking down the street. Thankfully, Stella took the cab home. I think she finally understood that I was on my way home and was happy that I wasn't taking anyone home with me. I was close though. Close to sleeping with the first blonde babe I'd ever been with. Natural, pretty blonde hair. So wavy and soft. I shook my head as I arrived at the complex. I smiled at the doorman before walking in. Taking the elevator to my flat seemed almost suffocating. Where the hell is that smell coming from? When I got to my flat door, I pulled my keys from my pocket. I fumbled with them before finally unlocking my door. As soon as I opened the door though, someone pushed me inside. Well, they shoved me, actually. Hard. I stumbled forward, into the flat, and falling to the floor. I scrambled to turn around as I heard the door slam shut. My eyes went wide when nothing was there. Until suddenly, Lennon appeared in front of me. Almost like she was invisible or something. Is that even possible? Can I do that? Wait, did she follow me here? "Kinda weird you don't live with your fiancé, Em," Lennon teased. "What the hell are you doing here? Did you follow me?" I asked. I haven't made a move to get off the floor. I don't know if I'm just stunned that Lennon practically broke in. Or stunned that she was invisible for a moment. Or if I'm... Fu.ck, I think I'm turned on. At what though? That Lennon stalked me? That she followed me here? That she's teasing me? Or maybe that she shoved me hard? Do I like strong women? Since when? "Yes I did," Lennon replied as she crouched down, a smile creeping across her beautiful face. "We aren't finished Emrys." I gulped as Lennon leaned in closer to me. Yup, definitely turned on.
