The next two weeks were spent exploring the Capital and getting to know their new home. It had finally sunk in that the world Jacob and Robert had lived in had forever disappeared. Perhaps only distant descendants of Jacob and his family existed now. The old familiar buildings were probably gone, although some would surely have survived the one and half thousand years that had passed by. Jacob wondered what monuments had become as revered as the pyramids, Stonehenge or the Great Wall of China. Or had the pyramids finally crumbled away? He doubted it.
