Chapter 2 “What made you decide to write about Kip Palmer?” They sat in the back of the rehearsal space Mick had procured until the theater he wanted was available, sorting through the headshots of everyone who had shown up that day to audition. Spencer hadn’t seen Mick since the night at Wasan ten days ago, but that had been out of sheer necessity. The first thing he’d learned the following day about Mick Darby was that when he wanted something done, it happened. Mick’s attorney had shown up at his apartment with a contract for him to review, two days later he’d returned with drafts of audition notices for Spencer to approve, and now a week after that, here they sat, trying to decide who would make callbacks.
