Fated Mates (A reverse harem romance)

Chapter seven

I woke to the light coming through the window. The towel had come loose in the night and I lay naked on my bed. I stretch and felt only a little pain. I stood tentatively and took slow steps towards the bathroom. I turned on the shower and looked at myself in the mirror. I was pail but not much more than usual. My eyes were bright. I turned to look at my side and back. There were just light pink marks where the bastards clawed hand sunk in.

I knew they would soon fade. I climbed in the shower and let the last of last night's events wash off of me. When I got out I wrapped a new towel around me and stepped back into my room to find Max again stood by the door.

I let out a small sigh. "Max we need to talk about boundaries." I said half in jest. I was happy to see him but his dreadlocks were dishevelled and his face looked like he had barely slept.

"My wolf needed to see you were okay." He said his eyes traveling over me until they locked on my face. "I needed to see you were okay." He said quietly.

"I am fine. I promise." I said as I turned to the wardrobe to see if my clothes had been brought up and put it there. I froze as I felt Max close behind me. His large fingers carefully traced where I knew the mark on my back was.

"Does it hurt?" he asked softly in my ear. His touch making my body shiver.

"Not a lot." I whispered back. I let him trace as much as he could until he hit the line of my towel. My grip loosened and I let it fall to the floor. He let out a small growl of appreciation and continued tracing the mark. My back arched into his touch and my breath became heavy.

"I don't like that they have marked you. Only your mates should mark you." he stated his voice strained.

"They will fade. Give them time." I heard Luscious's voice. "May I take a look." he asked.

I nodded slowly, still facing the wardrobe door. I felt max move slightly to the side but not away. A colder touch travelled along the scars. The touch was cold but it heated my blood just as Max's did. "You are healing nicely. I would have been happier if you would have had a bit more of my blood, but you will fully heal soon enough."

The memory of what his blood did to me caused me to stiffen slightly. "You could have warned me before I started to drink what it would do to me! " I stated, kneeling down and wrapping the towel back around me before turning to the two men.

"Usually with wolves it just heals them, with other vampires it tastes putrid and rarely with humans it can have the affect it had on you. I have never known a wolf to react so strongly to my blood. And to be able to fight it how you did, was impressive." His eyes slid over the towel, obviously not happy that I covered up.

" Well I am alive, and fine, and healing. So if you two don't mind I'm going to get ready." I opened the door to the wardrobe to find it full of clothes. Lots of gorgeous dresses, skirts, jeans, vest tops, t shirts.

"Who's clothes are these?" I asked as I walked in. I didn't own a tenth of this many clothes and they all looked good quality.

"Alpha Eric looked through your bag for your sizes and sent some of us out shopping. It was… An experience." Max said uncomfortably.

"He got you to buy all this?" I said my fingers dancing across the rails. "This is too much!" I stated finding my old jeans and vest top shoved in a drawer. I took them out and turned to the others. "He shouldn't have done this." I said flustered as I walked past them to the drawers in the room. Inside one was panties of all types. They were all sexy and felt erotic to the touch. "Really!" I stated turning towards Max and Luscious who shrugged. I grabbed a black thong and went to the next drawer and found a matching bra. I stormed to the bathroom. "Unbelievable."

I closed the door and got dressed. I didn't like that he had spent so much money on me. I didn't like feeling like a burden who needed to be taken care of. I was used to looking after myself and now he was doing all this for me.

Once dressed I came back out to an empty room. I went to the drawers and picked up the brush and dragged my hair back into a pony tail.

I went downstairs and found no one in the living room. The smell of bacon filled the air and my stomach growled, I could not remember the last time I ate. I followed the smell to find all seven men sat around a table with piles of food in the middle. There was one empty seat beside alpha Eric. I went over and grabbed my plate I lent over to fill my plate but it was taken off me by Xander who piled it high with bacon, scrambled eggs and French toast before placing it back in front of me.

I quirked my eyebrow at him but he just shrugged and continued eating. I tucked into my food moaning at the tastes in my mouth. I didn't realize how hungry I was. After several mouthfuls, I looked up to find all eyes on me. I must have looked like a savage animal destroying my food the way I did. I put down my utensils gaining a growl from Shaun.

"Keep eating. You must be hungry." he stated.

"Yeah, but you guys are looking at me weird."

"It's just distracting watching you eat is all." Luke said, grinning like the Cheshire cat. I felt my cheeks heat slightly.

Alpha Eric cleared his throat. "Did you not like the clothes we got for you?" he asked changing the subject and obviously noticing I had found my old clothes to put on.

"It is too much. You shouldn't have got me all that stuff." I stated as I started to eat again.

"I wanted to. We all wanted too. We saw all you had in the world was one bag of belongings and it almost pushed us over the edge. You should have everything in life, not nothing." he said the last part very sternly.

"Why?" I asked I didn't understand.

"This again. Look Victoria, we want to protect you. We want to take care of you. We will get to know you in time but what we know we cherish. I can't even get Luscious to leave my damn territory because of you. Even if what we learn we do not like or you turn us away when it comes to your selection, we will be happy for the time you give to us. Please stop fighting us?"

I nodded. He was angry at my questions. Not at me and I knew it, but I still went quiet. I ate in silence until I felt my stomach ache. I put my cutlery back down. Xander looked at me suspiciously" You haven't finished. " he stated taking in my half full plate.

" I cannot eat another bite. I am too full. " I patted my full stomach Xander eyes travelled to my hands as he watched me rub my full belly and nodded his happiness that I had eaten enough.

" I will contact the pack and get them to assembly for the initiation. This evening we have Kelly's mating selection as well so it will be a full day event almost. Alpha we should hold a buffet or something so that the pack is not running around."

Alpha Eric nodded." Good idea. Tell them to gather in an hour I would like some time with Vic first, if you all don't mind. "

With that the others left the table. The alpha took my hand in his." Come with me. " he took me through the house to a corridor I had not been down before. We went into a room that I assume is his office. He went to the other side and pointed to a seat for me to take. I sat and felt like I was in the principles office about to be told off.

"My pack is full of strong wolves Victoria. Your brothers will have a hard time here. I spoke to them this morning and they wish to stay but they will have to train with Shaun and Slater's men to get stronger. But tonight at Kelly's mating selection…" he tailed off. I didn't understand the ins and outs of it but from what I understood the men who wished to mate with the female stood forward and the female selected who she wanted to 'try' as Xander had explained. "I may have to ask you to do something."

"What do you mean?" I questioned.

"The men in my pack will sense your wolf and just as other alphas have, they will think they can have you. I need you to command then to kneel. Any that do will know that they could never be your mates."

"Command? I have never commanded anyone before."

"Try it. Let your wolf take over and command me. I will feel the weight of the command even if my wolf does not follow it."

I connected with my wolf. I fought for the strength he was expecting. "Kneel!" I commanded. I felt the air in the room grow thick with my dominance. Alpha Eric smiled and nodded.

"Good. That will do nicely." he said as I let my wolf slip back and the air cleared. I saw his eyes darken, my dominance had obviously stirred his wolf. He took a few centring breaths before his eyes returned to normal. "God a year is going to feel like a long time. I will meet you outside soon." he said. I left his office and went though to the living room.

I talked with my wolf, something I hadn't had time for recently. She was happy to be here and angry about not being able to shift and fight last night. She was growing close to the alpha and liked to be around him and his wolf as well as Shaun, Slater, Max and Xander. She even liked Luke and the way Luscious's blood made us feel, she could not get past it. I could not imagine having them all. It was too much. Usually a female took three or four mates. Not seven. Jesus.

Soon I heard the alpha come from his office he stood beside me and offered me his hand. "It is time." he said. I took his hand and he lead me outside. The ground was filled with shifters. Mainly males with a few females surrounded by what I assume were there mates.

One girl had a lager group of men surrounding her. She was smiling, laughing and flirting. She was beautiful with short red hair and cute little shorts and a t-shirt on. As I stepped out I sense the air change. The men all turned to me, even the ones surrounding the girl. She looked at me with a slack jaw. She could sense my wolf too.

My wolf was swishing her tail, but I wanted to hide. I did not like attention and on this scale it was too much. I saw my brothers step up and stand around me. I saw the Luscious, Like, Slater, Shaun, Max and Xander at the side of the decking looking wary.

"This is not good." the alpha said. He grabbed my hand tightly. "We need to do this now, not later." he said turning to me. I nodded. The alpha parted my brothers and spoke clearly. "I will not command you to stand down from Vic. However, you all know our ways. If she can dominate you then you have no chance of being her mates."

The men smiled and seemed to move closer. I searched deep for power. More power than before. I didn't want them to get any closer. I sought for everything I had." Kneel! " my voice echoed around the clearing. My brothers fell to their knees. I felt bad doing that to them but soon others followed suit like a tidal wave. Row after row fell to their knees. A few stood, their brows covered in sweat trying to fight my command before falling.

I couldn't believe it I looked across the clearing. All were bowed. I slowly looked to the side to see Luke, Shaun, Slater, Xander, Max and Luscious still standing. I smiled and felt the alphas hand squeeze mine. "That's enough." he said gently. I reigned my wolf back and people started to get to their feet. They seem disgruntled by what had happened but accepting of what it meant.

"Now we are here to initiate into our pack the Silver family. They will be pack and they will be treated as such. Clark, Mike, Dean and Victoria Silver. Do you swear to follow my command, to obey my orders and to be loyal to the Moonblood pack on pain of death or banishment?"

I gulped. That is what had happened to my family. Banishment. And I was signing myself up for the same." Vic?" Dean nudged me and I realized the others must have answered and I did not. I looked at alpha Eric his face was pensive, he was worried about my rejection. His words came to me "You will want me to command you." I could not see it now but my wolf trusted him.

"I swear!" I said loud and with force allowing my wolf to answer as well. The alphas eyes darkened knowing my wolf had accepted him too, not just me.

The alpha slit his palm with his claw and offered it to Clark. "With the joining of our blood we become one." Clark slit his own and pushed it to his. The method was repeated with Mike and Dean. When it came to me I was about to slit my palm when the alpha grabbed my hand.

"If you will allow I would like to make my bond to you stronger." I looked at him confused. "For those closest to me the link is created through a bite." He pulled his collar to one wide and I could see a collage of bite marks there. I stood to my full height and looked to Clark. Clark looked pail but nodded his encouragement.

I took a step closer to the Alpha. He brushed my hair away from my neck. I eyes his pulse, my own speeding heart rate matching his. We moved closer together our lips on each others nape. The feel of his skin beneath my mouth was over whelming. I felt him take a chunk of my flesh between him teeth and I moaned and did the same.

I felt my teeth transform from human to wolf and we both bit into flesh. The pain of his bite soon turned to pleasure and the taste of his blood in my mouth was powerful. I sucked in time with him. I felt him stop so I did too. We both sucked and latched out tongues over the mark. I felt the alphas chest rumble in satisfaction as I heard him in my head. "Please don't fight this. I know your wolf wants to join to me."

"I am not fighting." I sent back.

"Mine!" it came from alpha Eric but it was not alpha Eric's voice. It was his wolf. I pulled back to see his eyes had shifted. My wolf lunged for the surface in response.

"Mine!" she yelled back. My body shook with her power. The alpha held me close. s**t. What have I done?

"This is not the pack bond is it?" I asked him in my head.

"If anyone asks you must lie and say it is. We cannot risk anyone knowing just yet. It was meant to be the pack bond but our wolves wanted to be connected deeper…"

"They created a mate bond didn't they?" I asked burying my head in his chest.

"It will not be complete until we mate. For now it is a strong pack link to your alpha. But yes that is what they have tried to create." f*****g wolf. "It acts the same as a pack link and you will be able to communicate with the others. Please keep this between us." His voice was a plea at the end.

I could not deny him. It was not just his wolf that had done this, but mine as well. "I swear." I replied and pulled away. The small distance between us felt like a gulf. s**t, what had our wolves done. I turned back to my brothers and hugged them as the crowed erupted into cheers.

I felt the others come behind me. They looked at the mark on my neck and then to the mark on the alphas. "Office. Now!" the alphas voice commanded in my head. I looked at him suspiciously and noticed the other already heading there. It was not just a command to me, but them as well. He plastered a smile on his face and addressed the crowed. "There is food and drink, enjoy. The mating selection for Kelly will take place at nightfall."

With that music started playing and the alpha grabbed my hand and led me back inside. My brothers tried to follow but they were instructed to enjoy themselves and get to know their new pack. He pulled me through the house sending shivers through my body at the contact. When we got to his office he closed the door and looked at six very pissed off faces. "What the hell did you do?" Luscious demanded.
