The Big Bad Alpha

*Ruby* Everyone knew the other side of the river wasn't a place to wander off to, I never really got to the real reason why, soon enough I'd have my answer since I let my curiosity gets the better of me, yeah I need to find out if the Big bad Alpha our human parents tell us about during bedtime stories was real or not. My mom started telling me the story at the age of eight and now I'm Nineteen, she still tells my siblings though, I was so sick and tired of listening to parents talk about a non existed creature called werewolves. The big bad Alpha story had also been turned into a horror bedtime story, I remembered when I was thirteen, the story doesn't scare meI always imagined being with the Alpha himself, the dangerous air which people seems to be scared of just makes me excited causing me to wonder if I'm normal or needed help. My Dad had often said I was attracted to danger well I thought he said that cause I've always managed to get myself in trouble but now? I'm not so sure. My first crush had been the Alpha himself, y'know the girlie first brush of romance? Yes, I was crushing on an idea, imagination, and fantasy about a creature that doesn't exist, I became so obsessed with the Big Bad Alpha story I started to believe he existed. This is what brought me to the other side of the river which had been forbidden to us humans. And since I don't believe the Alpha was real or werewolves so there's no harm in trying even though part of me still strongly believe he's real, a part of me which thought about him all the time, according to my mother legend said he's real, cruel, brutal and strives in people's fear. But I didn't believe any of that. I smile softly when I finally made it to the other side of the river, pushing the single not so small boat I had rented on the shore, I looked at the large water then the boat wondering how it's made it through, I shrugged the thought off, it doesn't matter as long as I made it safely to the other side. *My dear, the Alpha is said to feed on humans' blood especially the blood of a virgin cause it gives him more power* My Mom's word replayed at the back of my mind causing me to stop dead in my track. I'm human and a virgin what if all this is true? Is this how I'm gonna die? I thought then quickly snapped myself out of it. *Since I'm here, there's no going back* I thought. I just hope I get answers to all my questions before leaving here, I had barely taken three steps when I heard a loud growl that sounded more like a wolf. Of course, this place happened to be a wild forest so wild animals would be around, I wasn't scared as long as I stayed out of their sight. *Okay maybe I'm attracted to danger after all* I hope I didn't get eaten by wild animals before I got any answers to my questions. Fishing out for my camera from the bag pack I was carrying, I started walking into the path that leads to the forest trying my hardest not to make any sound. For some weird reason I wasn't scared or anything, I was just excited about getting to the roof of the mystery. Another loud growl could be heard in the distance making me stop dead in my track yet again, my stupid cellphone decided to use that opportunity to ring, I rolled my eyes mentally when my best friend's name appeared on the screen. I couldn't help wondering what he would say if he finds out I was out here alone. "Hey Liam," I said into the phone paying attention to my environment. "Where on earth are you Ruby?" He asked worriedly, from the loud cheering in the background I could tell he was still at the football practice which buys me enough time to get done here and go home. "Uhmm can I call you back I'm in the middle of something right–" My words were cut short by a startled scream when I saw something jumped in front of me. A wolf! A huge brown freaking wolf with silver dripping down its mouth, I took a step back but stopped abruptly when I heard another loud growl behind me, I didn't dare turn around instead I move to the left trying to keep my eyes on the both of them at the same time. "Ruby? What the f**k is going on? Are you okay?" Liam shouted over the phone. "Liam! Help" I screamed as both the wolf took a step towards me. "Help what?" He hissed out worriedly. "Ruby where the f**k are you please!" He pleaded desperately. "The river!" I let out another scream when both the wolves jump on me? That I don't know cause I fainted right there! My head felt heavy when I woke up hours later? I winced when I saw blood dripping down my arm, I thought the animals would have eaten me by now? And does that mean they kept me in the cage? What is this? Alice the wonderland or what? Oh, I got my own experience but this time around it would be Ruby in the wonderland. I was laughing mentally at my ridiculous thought when a large man with a scary-looking face approached my cage, I move back looking at him, he was so tall and huge with a scar that ran from the bridge of his nose down to his left cheek making him look ten times scarier. I whimpered in fear when his gaze hardened on me, a much taller girl came around behind me also looking at me then back at the large guy, they seem to be communicating without speaking. *Who are you, people?* I wanted to badly ask but the fear in me causes me to shut up and watch them. "What do you want human!" The guy demanded staring at me with so much anger, this guy could break me in two, I know without being told. "I... I'm...lost!" I muttered foolishly. "Lost?" The girl echoed, at least she finds my situation funny. "Shut up Amber!" The guy growled at her which made her shut up immediately. "Who are you, people? Please let me go" I pleaded. "Let you go? Didn't you think about that before venturing into the werewolf's territory?" He demanded in a harsh voice causing me to flinch. Werewolves? Wait! They are werewolves? My eyes widen on my face and I stared at the two of them with growing excitement, they looked back at me with confusion written all over their faces. "You mean this place...belong to the werewolves? Do you guys exist? You are werewolves!" I burst out passionately. "Okay...what was that?" Amber, the girl who I had picked on her name earlier asked looking at me. I step deeper into my cage when I saw the two wolves who had attacked me walk into view, the large guy was talking to them, I stayed in the shadow watching what was going on and to my greatest surprise I saw them beginning to change...bones were cracking, then behold the wolves turned into a human. Two good-looking guys! Of them has a long trim Sandy brown hair, green eyes, board shoulders while the other one hair was dark brown accompany with hazel eyes and watchful. "Come out here! I want to see you" The scary guy commanded. Rolling my eyes I came into view keeping my eyes off the two hotties watching me with keen interest, if I get to leave here alive I'm taking one on a date with me. "I bet you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into. You seem to be enjoying yourself far too much" The guy with sandy brown hair chuckled with his arms folded, he was staring at me. "Shut up Zeke! She doesn't need your kind words" The large guy ordered. "That seems to be your favorite word," I remarked directly my words to the scary guy. He doesn't find it funny. He just glared at me. "What are we going to do with her?" Amber asked. "Yes. We definitely can't let her go. She already knows about our world and it would be too dangerous for us to leave her" The guy with dark brown hair agreed with Amber. "Hello! I'm still here" I reported. They all turn to look at me then ignored me like I hadn't spoken at all. "Inform Alpha about our new guest" The scary guy suddenly smirks while others looked frightened. "Wait!" I shouted after them as they all begin to walk away. Alpha? Why do they all look frightened? I wasn't scared...in fact, I was excited!. . . . TBC.
