Chapter 38 Rays of light hit Scarlet’s face, making it scrunch with annoyance; she put the pillow on her face, blocking the rays, and groaned. Another set of blinders was open, and she sat in a short sitting position. Her eyes closed, red hair framed her face, and her lips were in a pout. She opened her eyes slowly, squealed and almost fell off the bed when she saw Xavier sitting right in front of her face, looking at her with his forest-green eyes, his lips curved in a flashy smile. “Good morning,” he said.
