“Sal is your cousin, that I reckon, but this dude, Xavier, what is he doing here? Also, you forgot to mention that they are at your place now.” Charlie turned to Scarlet, demanding answers.
“I’m not her —” Sal sighed loudly, shooting a glare in Xavier’s direction.
“Xavier is my—” Scarlet's eyes wandered in Xavier’s direction. Their eyes met for a second before Scarlet flitted away her gaze, “ —He’s here to hang out with Sal, though he and I used to be neighbors back in my hometown. It’s a piece of information that not many people know,” Scarlet answered, getting a bit uncomfortable with Charlie’s blunt tone.
