Chapter 36 Sharp gazes met each other. Xavier and Sal were sitting on opposite chairs in the drawing room. After Mr. Patel told them about his findings on the wizards, he left immediately to go to the pack. It was 5 in the morning. Neither Xavier nor Sal had a wink of sleep, and Scarlet was still unconscious. “You should leave now,” Xavier said. “I have decided not to,” Sal answered. Xavier leaned forward and sighed deeply, “What’s your problem, dude?” “My problem is you. It has always been you,” Sal said in an agitated tone. “Leave, now!” Xavier commanded. “I have decided to stay here with Scarlet until Dad returns,” Sal answered calmly. Xavier could feel the change of behavior in Sal. He and Sal had their differences, but something clicked this time, and he tried to brush it off
