"BRANDON, TIME TO GET UP!" I shot up in bed and in the process, fell onto my floor. I looked at my smirking father standing in the doorway. Yep, gotta love him. "DID YOU HAVE TO DO THAT?!" I screamed back. He only chuckled and shook his head while walking away. I rolled my eyes and got up from my floor. I went over to my closet and got out a green t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and my plaid Jacket. I love my jacket! It's so warm and when it's 29° I need to be warm! I ran downstairs and into the kitchen where my lovely mother was making breakfast. "Good morning mama!" I said and hugged her. She hugged me back. "Good morning, honey." Mom said. "Go sit at the table and I'll get your breakfast." I sat down at the table and she set a plate of bacon and eggs in front of me. YUMMY! Daddy came in while fixing his tie and gave mama a kiss on the cheek. "Hey, I hope you didn't mind the rude awakening." Dad said. I glared at him and shook my head. I would of said something sarcastic but I to busy shoveling this delicious food in my mouth. " Oh, leave the boy alone." Mom said and winked at me. I smiled at her and dad chuckled. Dad at some of his food before wiping his mouth and standing up. "Well I better get going. See ya later Brandon." He said and ruffled my hair. He went over to mom and kissed her. "Bye love you guys." He said. "Love you too." Mom and I said together. He walked out the door and mom turned to me. "I should get going too. I'll see you later, have a good day. Love you." She said. "Love you too." I said. She kissed my forehead before walking out the door. I sighed and put my platen in the sink before grabbing my book bag. I walked out the door and started my way to the bus stop. "Hey emo." Evan said, running up beside me. I rolled my eyes and ignored him. "Did you not here me, I was talking to you!" He said and shoved me. I bit my lip and started walking faster. Why can't he just leave me alone? "Just leave me alone." I said. He laughed and shook his head. "Give me a good reason why I should." He said. "I didn't do anything to you." I said. That just seemed to anger him. He glared at me. "You think you didn't do anything? You did so much!" He yelled and punched me. What the hell?! What is he even talking about? My face hurt like hell now. I whimpered and held my cheek. "I'm sorry." I whispered. I thought I saw a flash of sympathy for a second but I must of imagined it. He glared one last time before walking to the bus stop bench and sitting down. I sighed and walked near, but far enough away from him, to stand and wait for the bus. I heard the bus start to come up and it stopped in front of us. "Hi Shelly!" I said brightly. She smiled at me. "Hey Brandon." She said. "Thanks for the ride." I said, getting on the full bus. I sat in the only s see at opened and that's when it clicked. "Looks like I'm sitting with you." Evan said sitting down. "Can you at least wait to torture me at school?" I said. "Fair enough." He said getting out his earbuds and Ipod. I noticed his songs and smiled. "Why are you smiling?" He asked. "Your music selection. You have good taste." I said. He smirked. "I didn't expect you to like good music. I thought you would like pop not heavy metal and screamo." He said. I laughed. "Well you thought wrong." I said. "Yeah, I guess I did." Evan said. Wow, this is the first conversation. The bus stopped in front of the school and we all got off. "I'll see you later." He said. I smiled but his friends came up and he quickly added. "Fag." At the end and I frowned. I sighed and walked into the school. Another day, another dollar is what they say.
