5. Mine is better than yours

It has been two weeks since the worst party in my life and still I have issues with facing Aaron and Natalie who apparently made herself at home in pack house. I try to avoid them as much as I can but it is kinda hard when you live in the same building and go to the same school. Everybody seems to like her a lot, and why shouldn't they? She seems to be a perfect Gamma Female with her natural combat skills and yet gentle personality. But I can't shake a filing that she stole something that belonged to me. Stupid, isn't it? I know that Aaron wasn't mine at all but I'm not used to not getting what I want.

Anyway .. Enough of this drama, cause I need to tell you about a positive side of this situation. Cause you see I have absolutely the best father any girl could dream of. Daddy is a man of his word and indeed he organized the ball for mine and Chris's benefis. Also 15 unmated Alphas had accepted our invitation, which gives me a great opportunity in finding my one and TRUE Mate. I've been so preoccupied lately other than obvious moments such as meals and shared classes I barely had the time to think about Aaron and Natalie.

My days passed by filled with flowers , food, decorations and dresses. May I say I gladly took all of these extra distractions to stay away from my heartache.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by approaching Stephy.

"You ready?" - she asks

"Yup! Where's Tina? Isn't she going to school today?"

"Naah, my brother is taking her some place special as it is their 6 months anniversary" - Stephy replays rolling her eyes.

"So it's just you and me then. Ok, let's go."

We went outside to my car and off we went to school. As we arrived at our usual spot at a parking lot all I could see in front of me was a couple in a heated make out session leaning on a black mustang parked just in front of me. Yeah, you guessed right that was no one other than Aaron and Natalie. Aaaahhhh, get a room you two!

I got out of a car and went straight to my locker not minding them at all. While I was taking books for my first period someone from behind me spoke up.

"Hey Cece."

I turn around only to see her. Natalie. Of course her locker is next to mine, how could I forget.

"Oh, hey. I'm almost done." - I greeted her and returned to packing my stuff. When I finished and was about to leave she grabbed me by my wrist and spoke again.

"Cece, wait up! I really hope that things between us could be any different. He misses you, you know? He misses his friend. Can't we for the sake of Aaron become I don't know… friendlier towards each other?" - she asked in her usual pleading tone.

"Things are like they were this whole time. We were never friends, then why should that change now?" - I asked her coldly.

"Cece, I know that you two planned your future together but Goddess had different plans for you two, and we are not in a position to change it, so can we please try to become friends? For Aaron?" - she plead again

"I know that Goddess has different plans for me and it certainly is not some lowly Gamma, so please get back to your mate and your little nest you built on the 2nd floor of my house and let me peacefully wait for my Alpha to arrive." - I cut back at her.

With that I turned around to walk away only to stand face to face with no one other than Aaron. His expression was a mixture of hate, hurt, betrayal and sadness, and I hated myself for being a cause of it. f*****g great!

He glared at me one last time and went to her placing his arm around her shoulders in reassuring gesture like he use to did to me.

I took a one last look at a happy couple, and rush to the girls bathroom. I looked at my reflection for w while and started my own mantra:

'Don't worry Cee, who cares about Aaron? He promised to love me, but he didn't, he promised to spend the night of his birthday with me, but he didn't and finally he promised to not throw his new relationship in my face and he couldn't even kept that one! You are better than this, you are born to do great things. You are a daughter of an Alpha so act like one.'

I checked my makeup one last time and went to my class knowing that I will show them all who's suppose to hide around here.
