Chapter 30:
True to his word Jared left me, Chase, and Sapphire on the Alpha floor when he went to meet the Vampire King at the boundary to the territory. Chase had wanted to go with Jared but instead he took Leo because he was worried Sapphire would try to leave me alone with all the kids to go down and kill Jasper herself. I am still unable to walk on my own so Chase agreed that she would stay with us to keep Sapphire from taking off and to help me when I needed it. Sadly right now I needed more help than ever. Sapphire sat next to me on the couch while Lillyan, Anthony, Rosealy, and Tyson were playing on the other side of the living room. I was still holding Jacob and Tara.
