Chapter 10:
The driver of the limo opened the back door for us. Sapphire climbed in and I followed sitting next to her with our back to the front of the limo. The King and Queen sat across from us facing the front of the limo.
I buckled up as did Sapphire. I was chewing on my lip nervously and constantly flicking my long hair behind my shoulder only to grab it and bring it back forward to cover my neck.
Sapphire sighed and grabbed my hand. "Don't be so nervous. They won't hurt us, they are our parents." She spoke in the mindlink between us.
I replied also through the mindlink. "I'm not nervous, I am just uncomfortable. I can't believe they abandoned us and now expect us to fall at their feet with gratitude."
