Chapter 15:
When I came too again and opened my eyes I was in an unfamiliar room that was filled with bright lights. Jared sat next to me with tears running down his face as he held my arms down and someone cleaned the wounds on my back making me scream yet again.
"PLEASE STOP!" I screamed but my throat was so raw from all the screaming it came out as a Harsh scream. My throat felt as if I had swallowed acid.
"It's okay Emerald. They are trying to get the silver out so you can heal faster." Jared spoke and it sounded as if he had been crying for a long time.
"Please, make it stop!" I cried squirming against the touch on my back.
"Stay still, we are almost done." A female voice said from behind me.
I whimpered, the tears fresh rolling down my face.
"It's okay Emerald I am right here.
