Chapter 18:
True to his words Jared distracted me from the needle to let the doctor draw a couple samples of my blood. I felt a bit woozy afterwards and the doctor made me lay back down on my stomach. Chase and Sapphire made a fuss about my hair and ended up brushing it out and putting it in a large braid which they wrapped into a bun. Saph and I always called this look Braid Buns. Chase sat on the chair by my head while Jared and Leo sat on Jared's cot with Sapphire fussing about everything in the room straightening and re-straightening everything. She usually did this when she was trying to work through some difficult emotions and I knew it was her emotions at seeing my back in its full glory.
