The intercom boomed in the silent room while we were standing in line. My hands were bound behind my back and they dressed me in a three-piece black lace lingerie. A blindfold covering my eyes, hid my identity from the buyers.
“Thirty-six" the intercom repeated and I knew it was my turn to be sold to a rich psychopath who couldn't get a girl by himself. Seriously, girls even marry bald, bad-smelling guys as long as they were rich, so what was those bastards’ deals? I thought as I was pushed out of the room to a long hallway that led to the stage, where I was going to be advertised like I was a thing.
The guy pushed me to the stage and I stumbled, glaring at him. Doesn’t he have a mouth? All he needed to say was walk, and I would have done it since I got here. I never even once fought them or hesitated to do what they asked, even though the stupid fools wouldn't let me take a shower for two f*****g days, I though as I rolled my eyes at the situation.
“Ladies and gentlemen, this pretty exotic woman is special, unlike anything you saw before, look at her" the man that looked like he came out of the eighties TV show said. Couldn’t anyone tell him that his hair had too much gel? I thought as he turned me around giving me time to scan the room.
Who would want to be my buyer? I didn't see anyone that would even be interest me.
“She's perfect, isn't she? Not only is she a beauty, but she is also a virgin" he said proudly, like he was the virgin himself, and the room boomed in excitement. My eyes went to the man in the most expensive Armani suit, and I gave him a nod while the others were busy in their excitement of deflowering me. If only they knew.
“Now this one came willingly, so there will be no need to hide her. She is doing this to pay off her family debts, and you can marry her as soon as she leaves here" he chuckled, and I fought the urge to roll my eyes. My job was simple; stand there and look pretty and I did that, even though I wanted to kill all of the perverts staring at my body lustfully.
“The bidding will start high, take it or leave it" his voice was firm, and the voices in the room quieted down, knowing the bidding will start soon. The nice guy was long gone and his demeanor changed. He was now standing behind a laptop placed on the side table, the blank screen behind me lighting bright and the lights dimmed. That’s when I saw the glowing numbers they were holding. I was too preoccupied making fun of the Jim Carrey look alike on The Mask, that I didn't even realize, what was the number of the man in the Armani suit.
“Bidding starts in 5..4...3..2..1," the machine said and everyone waited anxiously for the starting bid.
“500,000," the machine said, and it put up the amounts on the screen. I was amazed at how much it was, I was not even worth 50 bucks. Many participants put the numbers up and the Jim Carrey look alike typed in his computer fast.
The bidding war went in and I was really running out of things to entertain myself with. This was getting boring fast and now the bidding amount was 5.5 million. Who was sick enough to do it? But there were three people I didn't bother to look at who were still biding for the virgin bride.
I closed my eyes imagining my happy place, as I let them play their stupid games. I just needed to calm myself down and this was not the time to get worked up.
“What do you do when life gives you lemons?” my father said to a seven-year-old me.
“Squeeze it and throw it at the eyes of the man bothering me" I completed the mantra. It was odd, even now I had no idea what my father meant by it. I was just happy we had our thing, weird but ours.
I opened my eyes when someone yanked my arm. The screen showed ten million and the guy in the Armani suit gave me a nod, before disappearing into the darkness. They dragged me to the waiting black van in the parking lot. I saw lots of girls like me being shifted and I knew I couldn't do a thing to save them. Business was business, I should know. A blindfold was placed on my eyes and I was seated between two muscled men.
They were wearing black suits and no smile on both their faces. I was a skinny woman, what did they think I will attempt? I thought with a smiled. We passed traffic and soon we were in the secluded countryside. A white mansion came in sight, and I couldn't hide the smile on my face anymore. We were almost there.
“What is she smiling for?" the bald guy on my left said.
“I don't f*****g know Vince. Are you sure you put the blindfold correctly?” I almost laughed at their stupidity, but I rolled my eyes underneath the blindfold. He checked it again just to make sure, and soon enough we were at the magnificent gates of my buyer. Soon, I was going to meet my future husband.
The gates opened and the smell of pine trees and sea salt hit me. There were men surrounding the place and I rolled my eyes again. ‘Too much security for one man, who will want to kill him?’ I thought smiling.
The car came to a halt and the door opened. The light from the sun touched my face, and I breathed in the oxygen. The van was too stuffy, and being sandwiched between two big guys didn't help.
My arm was yanked again, leading me to the door. There were security checks before they let me in, and I didn't have any weapons on me. ‘Like seriously man, I was only wearing lingerie, where would I hide a g*n, in my a*s?’ I thought smiling. I was really funny, wasn't I?
The house was Morden and the white outside continued as the theme inside. Everything screamed “I'm an expensive b***h”
We finally reached our destination. I was really going to meet my husband and I was too excited but instead, I was thrown in a room, where the blindfold was removed. The room was boring, but what I saw in the bed was spectacular, it was a wedding dress like seriously, my husband was in a rush, but so was I.
“Take a shower and change, I will be back to fetch you in an hour's time" he said leaving the room, and I recognised it as the voice of guy number two. Sitting on my left hand side in the van, the door clicked locked, like seriously, this people had trust issues. I had a shower and everything was always ready for me. I put my hair into an elegant messy bun and my make up was still simple and natural.
But my black lace mask was still hidden behind the veil. It took me forty minutes to finish everything and I went to the big locked window to check the view outside. It was spectacular. The mansion was on a cliff, the smell of salty water was divine and for some odd reason I liked the sea, even though I didn't like to swim.
I was so lost in the water that I didn't realise it was time already. The door opened, and guy two came in looking elegant in his white tux. I guess he will be the one giving me away then. I gave him a shy smile and he rolled his big grey eyes at me. ‘I'm going to be your boss b***h, watch how you react to me’ I thought putting my small hand in his.
He led me to a beautiful garden outside. It was a nice set up with white wooden chairs and flowers. All his men were waiting on the left hand side, while the girls on the right, I smiled shyly at them. The moment the piano started, I took small steps like a bride will do on her wedding day, but guy two was a bastard, remind me to fire him later.
I was dragged to the front to meet my husband finally. He looked old but handsome, wearing a white tux with his salt and pepper hair gelled back. His sharp jaw tensed, his blue eyes were as cold as ice, he was not handsome, but beautiful. He was a portrait of a beautiful older man.
I took my place in front of him, bitches who were supposed to be my bridesmaids were glaring at me, like seriously, couldn't you act for one day? The priest started and we both said our vows and the moment of truth was coming soon, and I was finally going to be Mrs. Lorenzo Suarez
“I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You can kiss the bride," the priest said. He looked like he was held against his will and I smiled when he lifted my veil. His eyes going wide in shock, he knew who I was, but before he could utter a word, my lips were against his and my poisonous tongue invaded his mouth. He groaned in agony, but they all clapped because they thought it was s****l, idiots. I kissed him 'til death did us apart’
