Shelly pov
I was in my room pacing back in forth, it was the only place i could do this so noone would ask me what was wrong, if they knew i wanted River to mark me, they would all laugh at me, they keep telling me to break up with him he would never mark me, yeah i had my far share of men, but once River and i started hanging out, all i wanted was him, I keep asking him when he was going to mark me so i would be only his, and be his future luna, he keeps telling me he would only mark his mate, well, Why can’t i be his mate, i could be his chosen mate, but he won’t even do that, he will have s*x with me, but won’t mark me, well half of it is my fault, i am the one that keeps coming to him, i feel like if i submit to him enough he would want me as his mate, im not going to give up until he wants me, i knew he was gone today with his family but he wont be gone all day, i plan on being in his room when he came back, i hurried to get ready, putting my robe over me so noone could see my body, hurrying to his room i made sure his room was clean, i had candles lit around, rose petels on the bed, i was smelling good after my shower, i covered myself up with his sheet that was on his bed, i wasn’t sure when he was going be back, but tonight i had a plan,
River pov
Today has been a long day, when we got back all i wanted to do was go shower and maybe rest a bit, but dad had me in his office,
“Son, your soon to be king when i step down, you need to learn all these things before i step down,” i knew what he meant, i knew most of it, but he always shows me something different that ive never seen before, like how to get into the bank accounts, he had different passwords and codes to get into them, he says he changes them every three months to keep other people out of them. he even showed me how to use the camera thats down in the cells, thats how the guards keep tabs on the rogues, it was pretty neat, he showed me the serect rooms that was in the castles, he said to only use them if that was the only way to keep my family safe, he showed me the passage way out into the woods, there was a window to the door, you could see out, but they could not see inside, they wouldn’t even have a clue that the door was even there, you would have to look for it to find it, once we where back inside, he told me to go get some rest, there will be a whole new day of training, that was my life, training to be king, but lucky for me next week was my birthday, i will shift and find my mate, Maybe then Shelly will leave me alone, she better, because im getting tired of arguing with her, yeah shes my girlfriend, we have lots of fun, but she is not my mate, i had a feeling she will be waiting for me in my room, she always does when she doesn’t see me all day, When i got to my room. i already knew she was in there, i could smell the wax from the candles she was burning, she probably blew them out because she got tired of waiting for me, walking into my room, sure enough the room was dark, but i could see her laying on the bed, i think its time to end this, if im going to find my mate, i can’t be whoring around with someone else, cutting on the lights, she sat up in bed smiling at me, the sheet fell from her upper body showing her plump breast, her n*****s were hard, damn this is going to be hard i could feel myself get hard, she got up from the bed, walking over to me her arms went around my neck, her head leaned close she was about to kiss me, i had to stop this before she does,
“Listen Shelly we need to talk,” stepping back her arms dropped to herside, i watched as she sat on the bed naked, i found her robe, i tossed it to her, “You need to cover yourself Shelly, i said we needed to talk,” she put her robe on then tied the rope that was around it,
‘What did you need to talk to me about baby, can we talk later, i have other things in mind then talking,” she tried reaching out for me, but i moved from her hand, now she was paying attention because i never moved away from her, i didn’t want to hurt her, i really didn’t but i needed to stop this before it was to late, besides she was only after power, and i knew she was, thats all she talked about is being queen and able to make the decisions, taking a chair i sat infront of her while she sat on the bed,
“Listen, i'm going to be twenty one next week, im going to get my wolf and hopefully find my mate, being with is wrong, and i should had stopped this months ago, What im trying to say Shelly, its over between us, there is no us anymore, no sleeping together or anything else for that matter,” she didn’t cry, she didnt say anything for a few minutes, she stood up tighten her robe walk over to me then slapped me hard across the face, my head turned sideways at how hard she hit me, i knew she was mad. i knew she wanted me to make her my mate, but i keep telling her it wasn't going to happen so i don’t know why she was so upset for., she tried hitting me again but i stopped her by grabbed her wrist,
“Shelly, try hitting me again i will break your wrist, i understand that your upset, but you have no right to slap anyone out of anger not even your future king, you need to stand down now,” she hugged putting her hands on her hips, i knew she was going to give me a talking to, or scream telling me that i was doing the wrong thing, who knows,
‘First of all, how are you going to find your mate when none of these females arnt, your birthday is next week, i doubt any packs with females are, besides, you will have to choose me, im preganat with your pup. the next heir to the throne,”
