Tasha pov
For the first time in many nights, i slept all through the night with no bad dreams, i could tell my mate was outside my door, i heard his light snoring it was cute, i was scared at first that he would knock the door down and try to hurt me, but after awhile i calmed down, i finally got to sleep and when i did i was surprised that it was peaceful, i woke up with the sun the birds were chirping on my windowsil, when i opened the curtains i saw a small nest on the balcony, i had to remind myself to put some food out there for them. i got up showered, dried off then put on the same jeans since they were the only ones i had, i dug in my small bag pulling out a shirt for me to wear, it wasn’t much, but it was something, it was a gray pull over shirt, since i didnt have but one hair tye, i didn’t want to break it, so i put my hair in a messy bun, i didn’t know where anyone was, so when i stepped out of my room i decided to venture around, i hoped i wouldn’t get into trouble, but for some reason i felt safe here, I was walking down the hall on the lower level floor, i heard talking, i noticed the voice was of my mate and his mother, i still didn’t even know his name, i wondered if he knew mine, but i was going to knock and say hello to them before i contuide my venture around the castle, i noticed on the walls there were sheilds with swords that criss crossed over them, there were many photos of families and memebers i think was members, I got closer when i heard him say something about me, well i hope it was me, he did say his mate, he wanted to have me train so i could defend myself, He wanted me strong and able to fight when i need to, in my old pack women werent aloud to train, my father said that women was just for making pups, cleaning, cooking, and standing by their mates, they don’t need to fight, but all in reality, he just didn’t want the women to be able to fight back when they needed to, but from time to time, i would watch the men fight i would train by myself so no one would see, it's the reason why i could had punched my step brother in the face, i wasn't trying to eavesdrop on them, but i walked into the room and said to them,
“I say we do it i want to learn, when i was in my fathers pack i would watch the warriors train i know some moves but not all of it, i would like to learn alot more if that is possible,” I saw them both jumped when i spoke, they slowly turned around my mate was smiling from ear to ear, i guess i wasn’t in trouble, i hope i wasn’t, he slowly walked over to me, i kind of flinched when he held out his hand to me, i thought he was going to hit me, but once i realize he wasn’t i put my hand in his, he gently pulled me the rest of the way inside the office, I needed to know his name, i just couldn't keep saying mate all the time could i, i was embarrassed at first, but if i didn’t ask how else would i know right?
“I know this might be a stupid question, but I really want to know, what is your name? i just can’t keep calling you mate all the time right, Mollie and him both laughed then he finally answered me,
“My name is River, I thought you knew that when you accepted me, remember?” shaking my head, i facepalmed myself, why oh why do i have to ask stupid questions that i should had already knew, geesh,
“I’m sorry, it's just been a long day yesterday and i was just so tired from all the pain that had gone on, that i forgot,” i held my head down, how could i had forgotten his name what would he think of me now, i'm so stupid, my father was right, i am worth nothing so i am nothing, I was trash, so i will be treated as trash, his words kept going on and on in my head, tears started coming down my face, i needed to stop this crying, i was getting mad at myself for doing this, i needed to be strong, River held my hand then gently pulled me to him,
:Honey it's okay, you been through so much you don’t need to be sorry it's okay, the s**t they put you through, no wonder you forgot, its okay, i'm not even mad okay,” before i could even say anything at all, i heard a girls voice behind me, she was being snarky and it really pissed me off,
“Who is this b***h River, is this the reason why you dumped me, because you have a new flavor of the month, don’t worry sweet heart, when he gets sick of you, he will throw you away like yesterdays trash,” before i could even think what i was doing, i walked from his arms i was face to face with her punching her right in the face, she went down hard, i think i broke her nose because she was holding it and blood was coming out face, plus it helps that i heard a crunch noise when i hit her,
“If i was you b***h, don’t f**k with me, im not his flavor of the f*****g month, i am his mate b***h, he dumped you because he didn’t want you, get that through your bleach blonde hair,” she stood up her claws were growing, so was mine Kora didn’t like this girl at all, she was growling and wanted to shift to rip this b***h in half, this was the first time i defended myself, it felt good, she was swinging at me, when River stood in the middle, he caught her hand swinging her arm down,
“Shelly, this is my mate, your future queen, if you ever raise your hand at her ever again, you won't have to worry about taking your next breath, because i'll kill you. Do i make myself clear? my advice for you is to get your ass out in that training ground right now and go train, before i change my mind and kill you instead, now go,” She turned running out the door her nose healed but she still had the blood on her face, she was trying to clean it off before she got outside, he turned to me smiling wide, then said,
:You have a good right hook, we will have you watching today, and see what you think. but after that, i'm going to take you shopping, you can’t go around with just one pair of jeans and a few shirts, your the future queen, plus mom will love to have an excuse to go shopping,”
“Yes i would, i'll let your father know what's going on, and after training, we will head out,” I wondered what stores would we go to, i never been shopping before, i usually got the clothes out of the trash that the members would put in there, we walked outside toward were the people were training, i saw that girl in line with the others she looked over at me smirking, s**t this girl is after my blood, im going to need to learn fast,
“Don’t worry, just watch and copy what they do, your a fast learner Tasha, i'm going to be watching as well, i think i can learn some new moves, my wolf Kora had said, we walked toward them everyone bowed their heads at River then he spoke to them,
“Hey guys, i would like everyone to meet my mate Tasha, i know alot of you are surprised but yes i found my mate, We are just here to watch yall train so she could learn how to fight as well, so go on and just pretend that we are not even here okay,” they nodded as they started doing laps, then all the other stuff i say my pack members do, it looked hard to do, but s**t i'm going to learn all of this, my body even hurt just by watching them, then they started pairing off to spar against each other.
“Becareful Tasha, that girl is a mean one, shes going to do anything possible to get him back, shes going to challenge you soon, so you must learn fast okay,” i didnt have time to even reply when she walked over and just shoved me, i was like what the f**k is going on, she shoved me again but this time i didn’t move, i didn’t realize this was her way of Challenging me, i was watching every move she made, even watched her feet and how she moved her arms, this was it, im going to get into my first fight and its going to be with a female, im not going to go down with out a fight,
