23. Missunderstanding

1047 Words

Caitlyn actually felt uncomfortable having to sleep in the same bed as Evans. But since Evans was sick, Caitlyn had no choice. She let Evans hold her. Caitlyn realized that Evans was just like any other human being. Weak and helpless. When she knew Evans, Caitlyn thought Evans was the most resilient human being and was unshakable by anyone. "Why don't you want to get married again? It would be better if I got married. You have a wife, and Daphne has a mother," Daphne said in a low voice. Actually, she wanted to sleep, but being held by Evans like this made her unable to sleep. Her heart was pounding uncontrollably. "I don't want to," Evans replied briefly. "You're sick. You need someone to take care of you." "Doctors and nurses can take care of me." Evans never lost the way to reply.
