Kai woke in her bed with Cal’s arm draped over her. Tyr and Sarai definitely had an eventful night. She could still feel the sting of him marking her. Like he was making sure it was more than just permanent. More than staking some claim. He was giving her some part of himself that would last forever.
Something about it felt different. He was stronger, and she could tell. But somehow she felt more…something.
She slipped out of bed, glad Sarai had the decency to get her into in oversized shirt before going to bed.

She looked over at Cal who was asleep still.
